Remember the airbase we had in Afghanistan that the previous admin abandoned with billions of dollars of tech? Sure would come in handy right about now wouldn’t it?
While you’re right, a lot of Americans would not like what it would take to properly maintain & protect it.
Of course we’re already doing that with other bases around the world. But it’s a slippery slope & had been abused in the past. It requires foreign policy & sending American tax money overseas, at odds sometimes with America first.

The airbase was lost before Biden came into office. 3,000 troops left in Kabul isn’t enough to secure Bagram airbase from the Taliban. Trump already signed surrender terms with them which required a full US withdrawal.
You might wanna sit this one out

Witkoff's four demands:
1) Ending nuclear enrichment
2) Missiles — they have to cut back on their inventory;
3) Getting rid of the actual [nuclear] material that they have, which is roughly 2000 kilograms enriched anywhere between 3.67% and 60%; and
4) Ending support for the proxies

I haven’t seen anyone mention US lives. Only Iranian lives. Trump has to make the right decisions because American servicemen are risking their lives to carry out any orders he issues. He is not going to do anything until he knows its the best option and right time to do so.
That would be valid if not for the fact he egged the protestors on, telling them to keep fighting, then promising them “help is on the way”.

Truth hurts, he released 5,000 Taliban terrorists back into the wild and then signed surrender terms which included a full withdrawal of US troops. These are simple facts.

Feels like momentum has been lost. Red lines were crossed and nothing happened

Well, it’s daytime in Iran. Nothing much happens during the day. Give it about 4-5 days. When our assets are in place, pressure will again be exerted.
I have not seen much in the way of reports of mass killings.

Yup. It’s over.
Now we have Witkoff making demands to the regime so apparently we now expect the mullahs to remain in control and are going to just try to keep them in check. Very disappointing and this is a major black eye on Trump.

Hey, that's not true......we have a few brand new, shiny sanctions, and some folks are gonna get a stern talking to.

Nothing happened? We are sending, ships, planes, and troops to the area. The only reason it feels like the momentum has been lost is because "experts" on the internet and media believed we were going to do something the other night.

That is ok. She needs some attention. I will repay the favor by taking your mother out to a nice seafood dinner and more tonight.

Who knows what's going on with this Administration. But the fleet movement is probably just precautionary to protect Israel in case Iran in their death throes actually launches on them.
The mood has definitely shifted though.
