I answered your question. Now it’s your turn. What is the relevance of your question? What difference would it make if he turned himself in to the local PD, or local Sheriff?
You didn't answer my question by providing any proof, but thanks for the response. I'm not sure it would make much any difference. It would highlight which media outlets aren't trustworthy.

You could’ve typed out a kernel of an idea why it would be relevant. I’ll assume that I correctly assumed you didn’t have a reason.

Robinson's just says "other." Every agency except Utah County would be "other," yet various police departments and agencies are identified by name.
That is curious... but he's locked up and I'm satisfied with that.
The other 25 inmates booked that day probably didn't result from a multi-agency manhunt culminating in the perp surrendering himself. Kind of a unique situation.

Here's his inmate info from Utah County Sheriff's Office
Thanks Sally's. I went through all 25 of the other inmates booked into the Utah County Jail the same date as Robinson. His was the only one that didn't identify the arresting agency.

Its kinda convoluted and complicated, but i found a story the other day that went through what happened with his arrest (i cannot find that original article anymore for some reason but I'll post what I remember)...
So, his dad recognized him in the media photos. He confronts his son and encouraged him to turn himself in. Tyler (the shooter) tells his dad he would kill himself before turning himself in and becomes aggressive and emotional. Father calls a pastor who comes over and tries to calm Tyler down with the father.
The pastor is also a court security officer somewhere and called the US Marshals Service. Marshals arrived and detained Tyler due to the threats of suicide he had made. The Marshals then contacted the FBI who came and actually made the arrest and take him into custody. He was then booked and processed at Utah County Sheriff's Department where he is currently being held on suspicion of aggravated murder and a couple weapons related felonies. Utah governor claims the prosecutors are drawing up the formal charges and they are going to be filed Tuesday.

per CBS: "The pastor, who is also a court security officer, also called the U.S. Marshals Service, which arrived and detained Robinson, the sources said. Sources said the Marshals called the Federal Bureau of Investigation, who took Robinson into custody. Robinson was taken into custody late Thursday night, FBI Director Kash Patel said Friday."
Thanks CBD. I read that CBS article, but I have seen seen conflicting reports. Shouldn't we be passed the "unnamed sources" stage? There is an arrest report somewhere. Why not produce that?

Assume whatever you want. I think the anomaly itself is interesting enough.

A family friend ultimately contacted the Washington County Sheriff’s Office – over three hours away from the shooting scene in Orem, Utah. The office relayed the tip to authorities in Utah County and the FBI.

No doubt! Glad they caught him...however they caught him.

You think they want to get to the bottom of this now?
That's my point. Anything involving a conservative victim is treated with less importance than a liberal victim.
For instance, the trial for the Florida assassination attempt on Trump has started. Very little press attention.

How many of them turned themselves in?

So the Marshall's office didn't detain him until the FBI arrived to arrest him? I honestly don't know.
Also, it's a 3 hr 12m drive from Washington, Utah (Robinson's father's house) to the jail in Utah County jail in Spanish Fort, Utah. You're thinking he drove himself there?

The Utah County Sheriffs Office

Thanks. "Arrest Agency - Other"
All the 25 other people booked into the same jail on the same day identified the arrest agency.

Thanks, Cubbies. That's what made me think it was the Washington County Sheriff's office which actually arrested him.
