Of course he was trying to kill people. He did. The question is why did he shoot Ella Cook (RIP)? The first shots don't seem as if they were aimed at her.
She was found dead on row LL (I think). Sounds like she was in the middle of the room. The Muslim student from Uzbekistan was killed near where the gunman entered.
