The insinuation, as I see it, is that race is irrelevant.
I like that insinuation.

showing something that isn't the norm?
It's been much more normalized the past couple decades, especially. To the point that it's not even really considered abnormal in many of the major population centers. To wit (anecdotal), one of my mother-in-law's fears when I married her daughter was that my/my wife's kids would be ostracized in school for being mixed. We live in the 7th (soon to be 6th) largest city in the country, and there are so many mixed families in our neighborhood/in their daycares/schools, that it's not even remarkable (hell, most folks around here assume my kids are hispanic at first blush
I saw a jewelry commercial the other day (WM/BM featured couple), where their mixed daughter was excitedly trimming a Christmas tree with the white grandmother. I actually dug that a lot--reminded me of my kids' excitement in interacting with my mother-in-law.

Mass Comm and journalism departments need to be purged.
On second thought…it’s the whole of universities.

Black non hispanic people make up 12.3% of the American population and they're in about 75% of the commercials.
Why do you think that is?

It’s a pigment, it doesn’t matter in terms of whom is with whom.
Now why are all of the heroes, authority figures, and problem solvers mainly black women? That is a more pertinent question imho.

It's all about denigrating and demonizing the race of men which has been the most responsible for bringing about the tremendous growth and development of civilization over the past 500 years. Look how they (the elites) have spent the past 20-30 years tearing down Europe with the heterogenous population and mixing of cultures throughout the continent. Now, that same movement is on turbo boost in America.
Why do the elites want to destroy white-dominated societies like the US, Germany, France, Sweden, Australia, etc? Because those countries have the power to resist a Globalist, one-world governing body. Squash the white man's power and influence, and you weaken their ability to resist.

Attracts more than one demographic if you buy the theory that people are more likely to buy a product from someone who "looks like me" (and research has shown it to be - to an extent - true).
Then why cater to the minority instead of the majority?
Your point about research is valid, but used out of context in relation to this particular debate. The latest Volkswagen commercial featuring a literal sheep "adopting" an interracial gay couple as its owners, doesn't exactly make me want to rush out and buy a Jetta.

Surprised the OT didnt have the real answer. Back in Obummer years he setup a fund to grease the wheels.
-Make a movie with black lead character = $500k grant
-Make a commercial with jungle fever = $XXk grant
Gents its always about the money(and in this case one dumb brown slave race)!

Eventually, people stop watching and cancel out what the advertisers are trying to accomplish. It is so stupid even an Aggie can see it.
Self defeating morons.

It saves on costs (not having to cast a white couple AND a black couple, if they are wanting to make a strong appeal to both)
This could be accomplished via one commercial with multiple couples of different races in common friend groups.
This was the previous norm.
This would also promote inter racial association and unity.

They want everyone who shops and spends money to have the impression that they are welcome in their stores. They also want everyone to have the impression that there is something in their stores that everyone will want.

Out of “wokeness” in media, interracial couples are completely inoffensive to the majority of the population, but the overprevalence compared to the real world is noticeable.

It kills two birds with one shot. The purity of the black or white races and ignorant consumers, whether black or white, seeing representation.
I speak for many who DO NOT purchase anything promoted by LGBTQ+ or inter-racial programming!!
Stay pure my friend.

They would be dumb. These people have been welcome in most stores for decades.
Its not a welcome, its simply virtue signaling.

This and everything else, is just meant to indoctrinate you into what "the correct way" to live is. One hour watching American network television and you understand perfectly what your values are supposed to be.

The number of people who see it as a positive exceeds the number of people who see it as a negative.

You can try and rationalize it however you want, but it's not just interracial couples. It's gay couples, trannies, and minorities in general. It's also the roles they play (burglars can only be white, for example).
There's social engineering afoot. If I went to Japan and watched TV, and 50% of the people depicted in commercials were white, I'd think something is up.
If it was only interracial couples then there shouldn't be any complaints. But it's BLM burning cities and being called peaceful. It's capitalization of Black but not white. It's the patriarchy and toxic masculinity. It's the cover up of the rape of a 9th grader in Virginia by a trans student. It's how the entire media jumped to the conclusion that a MAGA type shot up that LGBTQ club when it was really an asexual member. It's the removal of minorities from sport teams mascots and from grocery products. It's the marking of minority/women owned businesses. I could go on...
The commercial content is just a small fraction of the larger movement happening. Addressing it without acknowledging everything else is shortsighted.
