How much land? Because the day after you pass such a stupid law, I will be selling one-square-foot parcels of crappy land between El Paso and Midland for $5 per parcel.

If one is a net payer in federal taxes they should be able to vote in federal elections.
Everyone should be able to vote in state/local as they pay state sales taxes.

In forcing the current laws would be a start . I think tax payers should be the only ones that can vote .

1. IQ not lower than the third SD above the mean. Every day I see proof that 98% of the populace is too farking stupid to be trusted with tying thier own shoes ... much less setting governmental policy.
Heinlein makes sense, so I would consider an exception for military veterans -10-year active duty or 15-year combined active and reserves.
2. Minimum age of 21. Dropping it to 18 thru the 26th was an over-reaction to Vietnam (though the issue firstnarose in WW2), and we need to 21st this failed experiment just like the 18th.

I would be OK with expecting people to pass a basic citizenship test and another basic test on the issues of the election. But the reality is given the history of denial of voter rights in America, those things would never pass.

Legal citizens, age 18, not convicted of a felony, who are fluent and literate, and who can show photo ID.
Basically be here legally, be an adult, don't be a serious criminal, demonstrate some capacity to understand the issues you are rendering an opinion on, and prove you say who you are.
