It's very much a white thing. Black women are getting pregnant at a steady clip. They just abort so many of the babies that the black population is in a slow decline. It's around %13 percent now and slated to drop %12 in the next decade.
I think it was 2012 or 2013 that NYC released abortion statistics broken down by race for the city, and something like 8 out of 10 black pregnancies were aborted. And New York is one of the largest chunks of black population outside of the South.

It was a decade or so ago, but I read this study on why the Japanese spend so much on entertainment electronics (especially game consoles), and why they've been first in line to get the latest gadgets: they simply can't afford houses, so they live as cheaply as they can in small apartments and spend all their considerable disposable income on gadgets and toys. No houses means no marriages and no babies. The Japanese are have the fastest population decline of any first world country.
Speaking of toys, one of the saddest things I've ever read is the market for geriatric baby doll toys. You've got this entire generation of elderly women in Japan that know they'll never get grandchildren, and so they buy lifelike baby dolls for comfort.
There are no children here. Just lots of lifelike dolls.

When I first got a computer I found a website 'How Much is Your House Worth'. You could plug in the specifics of your current home and then pick any location in the world.
I hit 'Downtown Tokyo'. It said my house was worth $10M.
NYC, London and Honolulu were up there but Tokyo was No. 1.

Because they think they have to get Jayden all the newest toys, iPads, high-end sports equipment etc. The $500 stroller, the $2,000 soccer summer clinics.
(My parents estimate outside of food, they spent about $100 per child per month on me and my siblings.)

I'm just going off my peers and observation of other professional families. I guess I would have to see the birth stats as a function of race and income.

For most, the main reason is financial. People tend to want to be established in their careers, done with school, and able to afford a home in the suburbs before they start having kids. Millennials keep getting f&$ked by the job market, so those factors are continually getting delayed. They require more schooling to get a worse job with higher housing prices.
Personally, I can’t have kids and have no interest in being a step dad at my age.

I’m married and 28. Spent from 18-26 in college earning a doctorate. Missed out on lots of trips, and fun things in those 8 years because I was a broke college kid. Last thing I want to do is turn around and have kids and miss out on more shite.
After we save a little money, travel some, enjoy life for a few years, then we will have kids. I’m not a POS and just plop out kids when I can’t afford to or am not ready to raise them.

There is a lot to this that people don’t want to admit. White women have been brainwashed into think dating while men is somehow racist. White women are dating outside of their race at a crazy rate anymore. Mixed race couples are at an all time high.

If they have a kid they won’t be medium to high income anymore. Either paying a small fortune for daycare or one parent dropping or of the workforce
