As I said. You can't answer the question. Asians were brought here as Coolies. Asians came here not speaking English. Asians came here greatly outnumbered by whites. Far beyond anything 20th century black Americans have encountered. Go ahead, try to explain the reason. And yes, this is a trap. Go ahead and step toward Zach. It won't hurt. That's nearly four full generations. Without getting into any degree of depth, that alone illustrates the drastic difference in their history that I alluded to earlier.

Whatever you do, don't ask him why black African immigrants to America do far better BY EVERY MEASURE than native-born black Americans. That would be impolite.
The Race-Grievance Narrative doesn't like those kind of common-sense questions because they might promote honest self- analysis. That is to be avoided on account of the Liberal Plantation needs compliant workers, and all, especially with those Asians being all uppity and everything.

What about the Chinese Exclusion Act? That wasn't repealed until 1943? Laws prohibiting Asians from marrying whites were on the books until the 60's in some states.

Let us assume that your quote is true. It's not, since it deals with de-seg of schools finishing in 1976. But let's assume it's true. Here is the big question:
WHY?
From 1904 until 1976 why did white people discriminate against black people but not against Asians? Hmmm?
Asians were 'the other.' Asians couldn't speak English. We had a war with Asians in WWII. So, why have Asians done so well vis-a-vis blacks in America?

It is much more logical to assume that OP like many of us want to move forward and put racism and other negative aspects of race behind us and reach solutions.
However, we are frustrated when it seems an overwhelming majority of people want to do this but a small minority of power-mongers--of all races-- who would lose power if this actually happened continually stand in the way of real solutinos with the media and various governmental entities (including law enforcement in some instances) as their cohorts.
Things like #BlackLivesMatter is patently offensive to me, because it intrinsically assumes that there is some meaningful force in society that actually believes they don't matter. We all know that's utter bullshite, and it should be offensive to blacks.
Mission accomplished--everyone is now pissed off at everyone else and it really has nothing to do with actual race--we've all just been manipulated by assholes.
