Trump isn’t picking a side. We’ve had a side in this spat since 1979

Because of Irans past actions.
Held Americans hostage.
State sponsors of terrorism.
They have armed proxies that have fired missiles at Americans.
They have acted like pirates in the Persian gulf and attacked shipping.
Have hits out on Pompeo, Bolton and Trump
Have armed the Houthis, Hamas and Hezzbolleh and coordinated them in attacks on Israel.

Have caused trouble for the Saudis, Yemen, Iraq, Jordan etc

With a record like that and screaming death to America what makes anyone think they wouldn’t?

I’ve seen numerous post by you supporting Iran and blaming Israel.

I’m not supporting Iran / blaming Israel.

That’s what you dont get:

I give zero fricks about either of them.

I’m sick of US being involved in the Middle East.

If we get attached like 9/11 , I’m all for bombing the shite of the nation responsible.

Trump doesn’t need to mediator here. Just stay out of it .

It’s simple. US is not the world fricking police.

And the Middle East matters...oil.

The American Shale Revolution changed that. The oil is important for our allies, not us. Yes, we still import some, but we export even more. We don't need Middle Eastern oil anymore.

It has nothing to do with oil. Oil is a global market. Blowing shite up doesn't help with the oil supply. So if we want their oil on the market blowing up all their shite isn't going to help it get there.

Why pick a side on Israel/ Iran?
This is laughably stupid. I'm not suggesting we send troops, but you dont think there is a difference between the two?

How is Iran any more dangerous than the countries that already have them? To date, only one country has ever used a nuclear weapon in an armed conflict....guess who that was?

Iran doesnt give a frick. They would be martyrs. They'll shoot at whatever country they can.

Plus they are allies to Russia and China. Trying to prevent them from getting nukes seems like the right play.

Iran’s biggest oil trade partner is China at $~22 billion annually. That oil is loaded at Kharg Island Terminal at far below world oil prices. If Iran topples or Israel attacks the Iranian oil infrastructure the country that feels it the most is China. That will not happen IMHO. The Chinese will remove the Ayatollah themselves before that supply line is cut.

China has massive economic problems of their own and paying world market prices to replace Iranian crude would be really really bad for them.

The Israelis couid have bombed Kharg Island on day one but they didnt, no doubt out of deference to Chinese interests in Iran.

Netanyahu will release a sex tape featuring Epstein and Trump if he does not comply. No kids involved, just those two.

Word on the street is that Epstein was an Israeli mole.

Well they can't just wish or manifest us to be dead

But Iran can wish for that outcome?

Why don't we just harvest our own natural resources and be self sufficient?

Dude there are countries all over the world that would love to see America crumble. Iran is just the most famous for it. They were never a threat to America. They're s force of instability in their region however so I don't have a problem with Israel taking them out. I just don't see the need for us to get involved just because they hate us. Most countries hate us.

If a small % of true Persian Iranians really wish "death to America" than its only because of the way we have meddled and destabilized their country and (more recently) the entire Middle East.

We (the United States) have been the baddies since WWII (with the exception of our cold war against Communism).
