Of the Cults of Personalities, Maoism is the hardest to understand. The bigger a failure he was, the stronger the cult.

At every iteration, he would move down a social class for support. He lost the educated, professional class at the outset, so he moved to the rural farmers for the GLF. That was an unmitigated disaster that caused 60-80 million deaths. He was exiled and regained his strength by appealing to the uneducated and the youth for the CR.

Is this a real question? Massive starvation due to ideological driven policies and the whole thing did not get China caught up and on track compared to other countries, they were further behind with millions dead.

Slavery in particular and the exploitative colonialism are antithetical to capitalism.

The OP is a classic example of a dumb phuck that doesn't know he's a dumb phuck. The OP is also known as a Democrat.

Slavery and colonialism are completely different economic systems than capitalism lol do you even know what capitalism is because you sure as heck don’t if you think it’s anything like 17th and 18th century colonialism. I knew you were likely retarded based off of your OP but then you confirmed it based off of your examples

The Last Imperialist: Sir Alan Burns' Epic Defense of the British Empire

Many countries were essentially ruined by the too-fast removal of colonial status due to the social movements of the destructive 60s.
quote:

The British Empire, one of the most powerful forces in history, was also one of the most humane. Yet at its twilight, few were willing to defy the anti-colonial reaction that condemned millions to despotism under the regimes that replaced it. Sir Alan Burns was among them.

In this lively and provocative work of history, Bruce Gilley vindicates Sir Alan’s view that decolonization was poorly managed and too swiftly executed, a view based not on imperialist nostalgia but on a sober assessment of the ravages of the twentieth century.

Gilley demonstrates that Burns understood the benefits of colonial rule and correctly foretold the chaos that accompanied its rapid dissolution.

Relying on previously unavailable documentation from Burns’s family, The Last Imperialist dethrones the revisionist historians and shatters their unbalanced accusations against European colonialism. This is history writing at its most courageous.

"Bruce Gilley has had to endure the most vituperative attacks for arguing that the European empires conferred benefits as well as imposed costs. . . Now, with this absorbing biography . . . Bruce Gilley has written a compelling as well as courageous work."

Yours is just an echo of the old communist excuse that if you are making an omelet you have to break a few eggs. That is until Panit Istrati retorted, “But where is the omelet?”

McCarthy was right. The Red Purge needs to be brought back!

This has to be one of the worst takes in PT history. Over 100 million people died in the name of Socialism in one century. LOL, this is a terrible take. Socialism has been one of the most massive failures in world history. It doesn’t work. That’s not the way the world works in any shape or form. You want to know what system has lifted more people out of poverty than any other system? Capitalism

Communist don’t even defend the Great Leap Forward. Stalin seriously distanced himself from Mao after it started because even Stalin thought Mao was crazy.

Then why do people all over the world move to capitalist countries? Furthermore what was the cause of these supposed deaths? Because it damn sure wasn’t demoside.

None is the answer. Nobody has died for capitalism. That’s your fallacy, your absolute misunderstanding and lack of knowledge. Soldiers of the western democracies died FIGHTING communism, oppression, or your dictator du jour. Stalin HIMSELF killed 30 million of his OWN citizens during his purge.

Nobody died for capitalism because it frees people and provides the best standard of living ever known to man.

I feel for you because you are so misinformed. Whatever book you read 10 pages of is wrong and has filled you with lies. Your lack of knowledge really is dangerous. Please educate yourself. Ask somebody older and wiser to have a chat. Better yet, go to Miami and talk to a Cuban refugee and see what they have to say.

Or I could introduce you to a friend of mine and he can tell you about the wonderful time that Maduro’s regime evicted his family from their house at the point of a tank barrel.

After visiting Clemson, I thought "this wouldn't be a bad place for my daughter to do her undergrad."

Congrats to single-handedly changing my opinion on the matter
