I think AOC actually does a pretty good job LARPing as an outsider, while moving toward the establishment camp. Somebody upthread said maybe it's because she is not corrupted. There may be something to that. I know we all laugh at her, but Gaetz has said the same thing about her when they both backed banning Congressional insider trading.

I think it'll happen soon. It's not because she's a moron... because for frick's sake, uniparty propped up Elizabeth Warren, hillbitch, Kamala , and Maxine waters.. in the past. For Maxine Waters, there was about a decade where she was on every show on MSNBC, abc news and CNN... and her incoherent dumbass was portrayed as speaking a gospel about racism.

She does check all their boxes. Maybe in 10 years she will have learned not to even try to talk to someone smarter than her (which is everyone) and just mouth platitudes or speeches written for her.
The best illustration is when she went for a gotcha moment on Tom Holman and he turned her into roadkill. Most liberals just give speeches or rambling diatribes in their 5 minute “question” allotments even with friendly witnesses.

Do the Dems even have a “rising star”? Given issues like the Trans thing and the electoral rejection of such I don’t think any Dem could carry that albatross into ‘stardom’ or victory on a national stage. Albeit some Dem will step forward to oppose the TrumpMAGA agenda ( deportations at the fore) and that will bolster their resume.
