It coincides with the recent surge in idiots.
A lot of them are seeing 40 years of work ahead of them and are revolting.
Their parents gave them everything they wanted and never made them work for anything.
So they want to take your savings and live on that, they deserve it after all.

Funny this is these people bitch about capitalism on social media sites using their iPhones and wearing branded clothing while simultaneously shopping on Amazon.
They frequently use and enjoy products of capitalism while also wanting to tear it down
Without double standards they would have none.

It didn't come from nowhere.
They are being taught this.
Our schools are really just factories, designed to churn out leftists.
And everything they learn there is reinforced on every form of media in existence.
The greatest evil of our time is communism and it will destroy us without any invasion necessary.

So do the rulers of communist nations and their party nobles. They lived like the old nobility.

I don't think that is accurate. There is a shrinking of lower middle class. But middle class and what would be upper middle class are growing (thus the shrinking lower middle class)
I realize there's more than one way to define "middle class" and all sorts of ways to analyze. But I think the following is fairly well agreed upon -
A consequence of the momentous shifts in the income distribution is that the middle class has shrunk. The next chart illustrates this development by showing the percentage of households whose income falls within 50 percent of the median. We have gone from having just over 50 percent of households with incomes within 50 percent of the median in 1970 to 44 percent in 2000, and 42.2 percent last year.

It's lazy people who don't want to make their way themselves and see nothing wrong with the government just giving everyone an allowance like children. They think it'd be cool to be able to sit at home and play games while still collecting a check without having to pretend they have some kind of disorder.
That and the chronically naive that think life should be fair and everything should be equal.
That said I do think capitalism isn't perfect in the fact that it can be exploited for personal gain at t he expense of others without proper moral guidance. That's where a lot of the bad taste from capitalism comes from. These fortune 500 CEOs just laying off hundreds and thousands of workers off the bottom to keep a steady profit margin instead of trickling losses throughout the entire chain but allowing everyone to keep working. However, this is a humanitarian issue not a systemic one. Saying screw it there are too many Scrooges out there let's pick up Communism doesn't fix anything.

A huge factor is also the difference in using physicality to shut you down. Our parents were old school and believed in corporal punishment. I remember seeing many a classmate getting their arse whipped at school in elementary and middle school. I remember some brawls between a few of my classmates and their Dads in high school. That might still be a thing in some households today but I doubt that it is nearly as prevalent. Kids just shoot or stab their parents now. The arrogance of young people is off the charts right now mainly because they were given everything and never told no. The parents usually always agreed with the teacher or principal back then as well. You pretty much knew you weren’t getting off the hook back then. Authority was more respected.

because the education in this country is horrible at the lowest levels. Theyve been told they "win" just for showing up. When reality hits, they blame the system - just capitalism ,not the education system.

You are going to have to help me understand the chart and your point.
The median income is different than the mean income.
The median income is literally the 50% point of individuals. For it to be the median by definition, 50% of the individuals are under and above that income.
Maybe you are smarter than me. But you are going to have to explain how 50% of the population doesnt make more than the median income.

You weren't around in the 60s? Well, those people are now the college profs who hate capitalism. These are their students.
