quote:Same with my wife.
Wife doesn’t believe because you don’t leave your best friend alone in a house full of rapists. That just doesn’t happen.
My MIL is a dyed in the wool Democrat says she has never in her life voted for an R candidate, gives them money the whole chalupa.
She said this is disgusting, Dianne Feinstein should be embarrassed and I don't believe this woman. Never thought I would hear that from the hag in law.

This whole circus helped red-pill the old lady. She would listen to my rants, but never really engaged when talking in depth about current happenings. She drove home from the airport, listened to some of hearing on radio and was pissed by the time she got home.

Mine is a conservative, successful, independent thinker. We differ on some things, but she is MAGA to the core.
My MIL, who is a PhD herself, with multiple masters degrees, talked to my wife last night, and knew from the time that Dr. Ford started talking that this was a sham. She said and educated person would not have these memory gaps and would have spoken emphatically and forcefully, not meek, mild and squeaky.

As I said in the play by play thread:
Mine texted me saying this is bullshite. She is in for Kav and Chrissy can kick rocks.
This woman rarely watches anything political.

Mine:
1) Does not keep up with politics, will not watch anything but local morning news for traffic and weather , we don’t sit down and talk about it.
2) from a family who does not talk politics.. at all. Best I can tell they are independent.
3) Briefly said just yesterday that it was basically a stunt.

No, and not only does she not believe and recognize that this is nothing but a shite show, she also acknowledges that if a drunk 17 year boy did actually grab the boobs of a peer it should not disqualify him from being a SCJ.

I am not a wife but I am a girl. I think Dr. Ford is deeply troubled. She honestly believes something happened but it wasn't Kav. There is literally ZERO evidence that this happened other than her saying it did. This whole we need to believe all woman no matter what is a terrible precedence. It automatically makes the guy guilty just by her saying something.

My wife watched or listened to nearly every second of yesterday.
She was in awe of Lindsey Graham.
Said the woman was mentally ill. Something may have happened to her, but there is no way that BK had anything to do with it.

My wife is moderate but pro women’s rights when it comes to sexual assault and she just said she felt sorry for Kavanaugh. Was very incensed with blumenthal and Feinstein.

My wife and her mother both did not believe Dr. Ford. In fact my wife was cheering when BK gave his opening statement. My MIL was sad for BK when he talked about not being able to coach his daughters again due to this.
We need the Red wave more than ever now.

Well, I don't have a wife but I DO have a wonderful husband, and he would rather believe in Santa than this ridiculous piece of work.

Here's the thing with myself...I don't believe she went through a fricking thing. The whole story was a crock of shite in my viewpoint.
Eta: don't have a wife, but the soon-to-be said that she doesn't believe her, as well as my mother.

I'd like to know where all of you found your conservative wives. I'm a 31 year old single conservative successful white male and I see that being the case for the foreseeable future because these days it appears that there are way more liberal women in my age range. I'd rather stay single than live with that.

My wife does not follow politics at all and she watched some of Fords testimony, she said she came across as insincere and rehearsed.
