Does anybody know if less votes are needed if certain countries/territories abstain?

Morocco is easy to get to from Europe.
It has plenty of tourism.

USA has had it. Let someone else get the auto bid.
Maybe we'll get past Panama and Trinidad and Tobago in 2025.

Since our bid is north america would that mean that Canada is an auto bid or do we have a round robin series of play in games vs mex and Canada?

And a dozen euro will be in it.
For them Morocco is a reasonable trip.

WC will be 48 teams by then. 2 more automatic bids won’t be as big of a deal. But yeah, still curious how that’s handled.

54 North America to 28 Morocco is the likely prediction for the NY Times right now. I think Europe and Sub Saharan Africa will determine it all.

ETA: What time is the vote tomorrow?

I think Asia/Oceania will determine it.

The Americas and Africa will end up being about equal, and I think Europe will split or even be slightly towards the United Bid. If we split Asia we win but if they go Morocco we lose

Vote for North America was 134-65. Landslide in the end.

Time to start saving up for World Cup tickets

Also glad to see ESPN acknowledge that the World Cup is the worlds biggest sporting event. It's definitely better than the Olympics.

How much will tickets run? ~$200 each?

My son will be 12, btw.

Depends on where you want to sit. Could be cheaper.
