We needed to 30 more seconds to go a half without having a defensive meltdown and couldn't do it. This back 4 just isnt doing it.

Great build up and then shot from Auba.
This team had 0 goals going into this game. I'm so bored of being absolute trash defensively.
Definitely not a foul by Laca for the free kick that lead to a goal. We are unlucky on top of being bad defensively.

Still a lot of work to do and just simple mistakes on defense.

Pretty sure Xhaka gave that away on a long switch to bellerin. Totally avoidable with less than a minute left.

I'm ready for Torreira to start. I just have so much more confidence in the team when he's in. Also, I think Lacazette has been the best player on the team so far this season. He seems to be oozing confidence right now.

Torreira is so calm on the ball and his defensive awareness is really good. Agree on Laca. He's been terrific and his attitude on the field seems to be contagious.

Liechtensteiner for Bellerin and Torreira for either Guendozi or Xhaka. Possibly Leno for Cech.

Well. I'm back.
Apparently, laying a glove on poor widdle Tiger Ree is now a five-month bannable offense. I think I'll stay on the soccer board to keep from getting pissed off.
To catch up, I'd characterize the Emery hire as "responsible."
I'll give him a pass this year. Arsene did leave this roster in disarray--at least for a club that should be playing annually in CL and competing for PL titles.
By next season, I don't think it's an unreasonable expectation for this club to be trending upward toward returning to elite status.
Meanwhile, I'll be thrilled with Top Four this season. A Europa trophy? Icing on the cake.
