Costa Rica asks a lot of him. He plays up top on his own, not really his strong suit.

I don't know if it is because I have the image of his flop on Besler stuck in my head, but I just get pissed off watching him. Anytime more than 1 defender is near him, I expect him to go down in a heap.

i've always been kinda skeptical of his ability to cut it at arsenal, but i still think we should bring him back to see. could see us selling him this summer though because his contract runs out after this season, i believe. he definitely isn't at his best as an isolated no. 9, but he has a lot of skill. could certainly put in a shift at RW for us.
debuchy is in advanced talks with us according to l'equipe and others. he's solid but has never done much for me. he's better going forward than defending but he isn't exactly great going forward. plus he's about to be 29 so at best we'll get 2-4 good years out of him. i guess we'll see if jenks can really step up to grab that gig. surely that's why we're signing an older, more experienced RB. not like us to get players like him.
part of my disappointment probably lies in the fact that serge aurier looks like he's already really good, and could be great very soon.

Who is this elite striker? Certainly not Suarez. Oh and again a told yall so. Suarez will now have missed 30+ games for pool not due to injury.

The current rumors are he wants to stay at Barca, but if Barca pulls a Cesc and pushes him out he prefers a move to Arsenal over Liverpool

We are going to miss sagna. We need a rb that isn't always going forward. Someone has to protect pers slow arse. I live per, but him being isolated will spell trouble for us. Unless of course we can get a Vidal type player that can cover when the rb pushes forward. Arteta won't cut it at his age.

yeah, we've been linked pretty heavily. i hope it happens. he could play on the wing or centrally paired with giroud. would be a great get.

yeah, that could be an issue. i believe it was zonal marking who wrote the only day (maybe in the context of aurier) that it'd be surprising if we signed debuchy or aurier just because AW has always favored a more defensive minded RB, outside of the eboue era which wasn't exactly great.

Its strange because sagna has held down that spot for so long.
After watching every France match, We really could use any player on that squad and can't go wrong with any of them. Obviously some would just be for depth reasons.

Well yeah, but then we need to really get a cdm that can come in and start. We aren't winning anything with a back 3 of arteta, per, kosc. Wed get hammered on the counter over and over.
Now obviously if we sign pogba I wouldn't give 2 shits who the rb is. But juve be dumb to sell him.

To be fair to Giroud, you could see what he was thinking. If Benzema continues his run towards the back left corner of the box, that is likely a decent headed pass.

also, i'm all for talent, but pogba and khedira both don't fit what we need. redundancy there considering they both play the rambo position. we don't need another box-to-box stud.
schneid, bender seem like better options to me. somebody younger in the arteta/xabi alonso mold would be fine with me too, though that kind of positional brilliance is very rare. not sure there's too many out there that fit that bill.
