Nah man that’s too positive. Doom and gloom only.

I mean if we choke against Panama, I'll be doomier and gloomier with the rest, but I think where things stand right now, we're in MUCH better position than we were 4 years ago going to Cuova.

We're going to qualify for the World Cup and I'll be in Orlando celebrating with the team when we do.

I almost bought tickets for this game. I think we take care of business. This is the most inexperienced team we’ve ever fielded, we don’t have a reliable forward, and there’s still like a 95% chance we qualify. We’ve had Mexico’s number lately, we have been dominant over Panama at home, and this is the worst Costa Rica team of recent memory, and we don’t play anywhere intimidating there since they sold their souls to the Chinese for a new national stadium. No excuses for whatever team we field, we have talent to get it done and qualify.

And Pulisic is in frick you mode right now... just like he was the last time we played Panama in a qualifier in Orlando.

We won that match 4-0.

We're going to be fine.

Also I don’t understand Bello over Scally.

Yea I’m pretty bummed we are going to complete qualifying without bringing in Scally. Maybe he’s not ready. But Bello just isn’t there yet so why not bring the guy who plays on both sides for a quality bundesliga squad.

Brooks on his non-selection

quote:

“Months ago, I accepted responsibility for my play & the decision that kept me off a roster. Now, I’m happy I’ve regained my form but unfortunately, I wasn’t invited to camp.

I accept this as the coach’s decision, but I won’t accept that I can’t change this before the final World Cup roster selections. There should be no questions about my desire to play for this team. My plan is to fight as hard as I can to make it back to the USMNT.

My American identity is at stake, an identity some have questioned over many years. We (Americans) have all been down & out at different times, but we always fight back & I plan to do the same.”

Another bone headed selection by GGG is bringing Sands in as a CB. He cant get off the bench on his team and not CCV who is possibly the best player in the same league. CCV will be on a Premier League team next season.

Sands has played a whopping 65 minutes in the past month. Meanwhile CCV is starting every match and is one of the best CBs in the league

CCV and Brooks better get a chance to earn their spots in the summer.

He was brought in the November window. Just never played.

Pulisic suffered a knock on his ankle today but stayed in the match.

Ferreira scored a hat trick, including a brace within 3 minutes.

ETA: And now Arriola scores off of a Ferreira assist

Pulisic stayed in for awhile but looked gimpy before being subbed out. He was playing well too…

The injuries are a joke at this point. This generation of players cannot stay healthy at all.

And Aaronson not starting today for the Salzburg due to knee injury.

It’s comical at this point. We’re going to need to beat Panama with our MLS quality B team. This is what happens when you drop points to El Salvador and Jamaica on the road and Canada at home.

I'm already thinking we miss the wc. Bang up job by the federation. If this is the status quo then we got the 2026 World Cup too soon.

Oh good god, we have some pussies in this fanbase.

Like do you realize all the crazy shite that has to happen for us to not qualify?

Basically that night in Cuova has to happen three times in this window.

For as shitty as the injuries are, we still should have the better players easily for at least 2 of the last 3, and arguably all 3.

Adams, Pulisic (assuming he is fit), Musah, Gio, Jedi, and Zimmerman to make a few are all easily unquestionably better than anyone on Panama or Costa Rica.

I think we’re in for a rude awakening given the away home away schedule and missing some of our best players.

Steffen
Yedlin-Robinson-Zimmerman-Jedi
Adams
Reyna-Musah
Weah-Some frick-Pulisic

That XI is beating Panama.

Want to bet $100 on it? You put it on not qualifying, I'll put it on qualifying, loser venmos the winner.
