The fact that their in-form premier league striker is not participating in this game makes me very happy.

I had no idea there was even a concern with Musah, so when I read the first part of that tweet, my heart sank.
I don't think he missed much training because most of the videos the USMNT has posted, Musah has been in them, so I hope he is able to start tomorrow.

It was all pretty quick yesterday. Greg mentioned it in the presser that they were waiting on the PCR results after an inconclusive test earlier in the morning.

There is not any direct reward for finishing 1st besides bragging rights. I guess indirectly the better your results (and the worse other teams' results) will impact your world ranking which could impact which of the 4 pools of teams you are in for the World Cup draw (8 highest ranked qualifying teams are in first pool, next 8 highest in second, next 8 in third and last 8 in 4th so that each of the 8 WC groups have a team from each pool). Right now I think USA and Mexico would likely be in pool 2 and I'm not sure either could do enough to move into pool 1 but I guess it's possible. Poor results in the CONCACAF qualifying (even if you end up qualifying) could move you down to pool 3 though.
Long story short just fricking win.
