Nancy is a proven coach who is actually a somewhat reasonable/possible hire.

So you’re saying you’d be happy with Caleb Porter?

He took Cleveland from 10th place to become winner of the Campeones cup

He won the MLS Cup with 2 different teams.

He was also MLS coach of the year in 2013

He actually played soccer.

I’d say a stronger resume than Nancy.

But no one is talking about him as a candidate. And no one would be cool with it. Because the media isn’t spoon feeding him to you.

Proven in the MLS doesn't mean jack shite to me.

We are hosting a WC.

We have a group of players ranked 11th in the world with Greggg as our coach.
(Currently according to FIFA)

If are resigning ourselves to a MLS coach with just 3 years experience and no playing experience. Zero on the international level.

I don’t see us ever competing outside CONCACAF.

I hope for much better than Nancy. But Nancy is much better than Gregg.

I am not addressing you specifically. I do appreciate the discussion.

I know it comes across that way on here.

I’m addressing the media and a lot of the fan base.

The fans are talking themselves into getting excited over a person most have never even heard of until media said he’s a candidate.

And it’s sad the media props him up as some legitimate candidate

So USSF is pumped they don’t even have to try to go after any actually good candidates

If we hire another MLS coach without taking a legit shot at Klopp:

I’ve been without power and mostly without phone service or WiFi in Houston since early Monday…I thought they were supposed to announce whether Gregg was staying or fired on Monday?

Hope you get power back soon.

I thought it was “mid week” when we were going to hear something.

I’ll quit watching the USMNT if they keep ggg. I’ll quit watching the USMNT if they hire any coach from the MLS. My interest is already at an all time low, but I can’t stomach either of the above scenarios. I’m even starting to get annoyed by a lot of the players.

They’re going to announce he’s being retained during the England game in hopes that is a distraction for the media

It would be a hilariously bad PR move if they announce a soccer move during a time when soccer is on the forefront of the general American public's mind because a huge match is on a cable network.

If they announce Gregg is back, it's going to be at like 2am or they are going to wait until a major disaster happens. Now that I think about it, Crocker is probably pissed that Hurricane Beryl didn't do much damage.

Dude has less than 1,000 followers and paid for a blue check... going to need more than that to believe it's actually happening.
