Prob not hot take but I think it will be shite because it’s in the middle of the season.

In terms of quality of play, theoretically, it should be better to have it in the middle of the season than at the end of the season when everyone is running on fumes.

I’ll take that bet. this is going to be a shitshow of epic proportions, to the extent that federations and state governments will get involved to prevent it from happening again

Worst decision in all of sports history to have this WC in November

Meh, FIFA does a good job of hiding the bullshite when the tournament is going on. They operate like Disney World where they have a bunch of trained nazi cats roaming the parks at 2am to kill all the rats.

A couple days ago I would have said-
Timo Werner is top scorer.
But his injured.
So

Uruguay wins the cup

In terms of ratings in America, yes, huge mistake.

But if you're saying it's because of injuries, lets not act like this is the first world cup where good players get hurt with their clubs leading up to the summer.

The Wi-Fi on my flight from SFO to MSY on November 21 will not be working. A “disturbance” will be reported, the plane will be diverted to Denver and a belligerent male passenger will be removed.

My hot take is that a number of LGBT people end up beheaded for protesting but that may not be a hot take either.

Mine is Belgium will be lucky to win their group.
We have the same hot take. I bet on winners and teams to advance out of every other group except Belgium’s. Didn’t touch group F. That groups a toss up.

Of course there has always been injuries but the risk is much higher this go round with the fixture congestion for most of these players

Well I did put a future on Belgium to win the WC back in June so I’m rolling with them

Infantino is not going to get his wish: LINK
“Please, just ignore the rampant bribery and corruption, the damage we are doing to the club season, and the blatant human rights abuses in a country that goes through TCNs like most people go through toilet paper, and just let us make money hand over fist!”

But seriously, the final is a fitting tribute to the 40th anniversary of the Falklands War!!

Third Country Nationals. Slang for the primarily South Asian workers on US bases in the Middle East. They aren’t US or host nation nationals, hence “third country.”

That, much to the surprise of many people on this board and American soccer fans in general, Christian Pulisic will prove to not be the best player in the world.

No one on this board thinks that Pulisic is the best player in the world

OU Guy does. He’s got a serious case of the gay for CP.
