Blackburn’s offer includes a more favourable payment schedule.
Isn't Blackburn doing pretty bad financially?

Griffin Yow with 2 goals in the first 22 minutes for Westerlo.
Bryan Reynolds also starting at RB.

Turner riding the struggle bus.

It's a shame because he was playing really well for the first 55 minutes.
I still standby that it was a colossal mistake for him to move abroad. Or at the very least, going abroad to a place where you had no chance of starting, leading to him not having any value and moving to a relegation zone club and ruining his confidence.

Looks like Gio could be heading to Nottingham on a loan.

Wonder who is going to get playing time over
Elanga nope
Gibbs-White nope
He will be competing with CHO for time of the bench
Don’t think this is the best move for him

He’s not a premier league player at the end of the day
Playing at this level is exposing his flaws. He’s a great shot stopper using his athleticism but he isn’t a complete modern day keeper. Can’t really fault him as he started so late in life so never got a proper upbringing in the game.

Rumored to Newcastle.

but also not a great move IMO to leave for a bottom Championship team
Blackburn has a recent history of producing some good strikers and goal scorers
Adam Armstrong
Ben Brereton-Diaz
Bradley Dack
The Smodzics (sp) guy who has been on fire this year
Also coached by Jon Dahl Tomasson who knows strikers.
Could be a decent move

While I don't think it's ever a great move to jump midseason to a club trying to fight off relegation, I can't see a scenario where Gio hires a super agent like Jorge Mendes only to pick a loan spot where he will be facing the exact same dilemma that he is facing at BVB, just at a much worse club.
I'm sure some assurances are involved with the move.

Blackburn
Appears the move for Duncan is finalized for $4m plus $2.5m in add ons with OCSC keeping some sell-on percentage. Solid business for a MLS Superdraft pick after 1 year.

Forest is trying to sign Johnstone from Palace before the deadline. If they do he's done.
Speaking of Forest keepers, did Horvath even get moved this window or is he still hanging out drinking diet Pepsi or whatever.

He's done regardless, whether they let him play out the rest of this season or not. There's just been too many mistakes for a relegation zone club to keep starting him. It would be in both parties best interests to part ways.

Romano is reporting that the Gio move is just for six months with no option to buy and that Gio signed a one year extension. My take... With Terzic out Gio will have a chance to shine next year.

More importantly, with Reus out.
With all that said, Scuffed podcast brought up a good point when discussing Gio the other day. He's running out of "it's the coach's fault" currency. At some point, he has to stay healthy and show that he is worth the hype beyond glimpses of talent.

There really can’t be guarantees with a club in a relegation fight
Both those players have been outstanding for Forrest

That was their first choice this summer when United finally said he was for sale

You're wild if you think they told Gio he would have a hard time to find playing time.
Forrest wasn't his only option.

Look who is new agent is and look who the manager is
Regardless he adds depth but he isn’t starting over those two as of now
I never said he isn’t going to play
A player struggling in his fitness and form is guaranteed anything
