Cruise agent screwed up my reservations

I have a cruise booked for January using some credit my parents transferred to me. The original quote was wrong so he went back to check the quote. Turns out that the credit were not applied correctly and I have to pay $1700 compared to my original $150 that I would have paid if it was applied correctly. (They are unable to transfer the credits for a second time)
Should I come back and ask for complementary things for the cruise since he screwed me that bad? I am already paying extra for the drink package, dining package, and Wi-Fi

Make them correct their mistake or cancel.
Them saying there is nothing they can do sounds like bullshite

My only problem is that the credits that I have, i must book a cruise with them before December 31 or I lose the credits

Paying $1700 instead of $150, sounds like you’re losing the credits either way.

Their mistake.

Again, their mistake, not yours.

No. As someone else mentioned, either they fix their mistakes or you cancel. Hold their feet to the fire and don't let up until they make it right.

I don't understand. It sounds like you've lost them regardless. As others have said, I would make them correct the mistake.

cancel this cruise and book another through another agent before the end of the year

You can have your parents call the cruise line and explain what happened. They might be able to sort it out.
The cruise line needs to stand by the credits they offered as well.

If you lost whatever the rate was at the time and you’re booking now with the current rate I would definitely canceled that agent and either Brooke on your own and use the credits or find another agent to use the credit.
Give the agent the option of making things right and Hall on your end and they keep the commission or if you have to eat the expenses you at least give the commission to someone else or handle it yourself.

Sounds like these so called credits may be bullshite.
“Oh yeah, you are earning credits! Oops, they were applied during a non-leap year with a half eclipse, so they expired. Sorry about that. On what card should I charge your 100 % balance?”

Was this done by an independent travel agent, or someone working for the cruise line (like a Carnival PVP)?

I would not pay $1700 for a cruise. Fly to Roatan for a week.
