No goal in mind, as always, other than “more than last year.”

My 2026 list follows:
1. Of Time and Turtles - Sy Montgomery, paperback, 289pp. 3*
2. Godzilla’s 70th Anniversary - IDW comics collection, hardcover, 200pp. 3.5*

I’m not setting a # goal, but I’d be happy to read 10-15 this year. Using this post for my list of books read in 2026. Each time I start a new book, I will list it here.

1. The Count of Monte Cristo - Alexandre Dumas
2. The Master and Margarita - Mikhail Bulgakov

I always set a goal of 12. I usually reach it, but I tend to get burned out and take breaks from reading here and there so we'll see if I get there this year.

Completed

1. Quarter Share - Nathan Lowell (224 pg)
2. The Picture of Dorian Gray - Oscar Wilde (240 pg)

Currently Reading

Heat 2 - Michael Mann and Meg Gardiner (470 pg)

I have never kept track before. This could be interesting or demoralizing. Only real goal is to knock out The Expanse series by James S. A. Corey.

Books completed
The haunting of Hill House - Shirley Jackson
Royal Assassin - Robin Hobb

Audiobooks completed
Bioshock Rapture - Andrew Ryan
Kaiju Battlefield Surgeon - Matt Dinniman (DNF)
Dungeon Crawler Carl - Matt Dinniman

Restarted DCC for the third time

2. Beautiful Swimmers: Watermen, Crabs and the Chesapeake Bay by William W. Warner. Pulitzer prize winner in 1977. As Mary Poppins said, 'perfect in every way.' Highly recommend!

New to this, but have loved reading just fell off. Set a goal of 24 new books for the year. I have never read anything on the list before setting the goal. I have read some others that are related to my job but have not included them. So far I have read

1. Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone
2. Sociopath: A memoir. ( Patric Gange) Highly recommend.
3. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
4. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
5. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
6. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
7. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Monday I start Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, with several more to add on after.
