If you scroll through his post history, DALSU said "he knew players on the team." I'd doubt the players know anymore than we do though, so I wonder who is source is and whether we can trust that connection.

It didnt stall, there are laws to be followed due to both coaches have to follow while under contract. The plot was to keep quiet to avoid a Saban to Texas disaster which ultimately ended up getting Pattersons job in the end at UT. My source is very legit. Alleva neither the boosters wanted egg on their face like Texas after the Saban debacle.

If it's a money ploy, FSU will win. Not that they have more, but all things being equal you likely don't jump ship if they match.

If he comes here it's not about the money.

Moffitt tweeting and deleting the FSU stuff was odd though

I agree on that end. If jimbo is coming here, its not that much about money. Moreso that he wants to get out of there or really loved his time here more

No, DA works at the firm that does LSU's contracts, I thought.

85 percent of the "there was a snag" post were from the same guy with like 100 posts that posted it in pretty much every thread on the rant and tried to force it into every conversation and talk about it like it was a known rant fact that talks were falling apart. And it worked.

Yeah the Moffitt tweet was really strange. Seemed like an angry knee jerk response to something he heard.

not necessarily. I mean if he really wants to come to LSU, "getting a raise" is the perfect excuse to move. Even if FSU matches, it can at least show he is getting paid more.

Let's face it, it looks bad to just take the job at LSU for the same amount of money. Not that I care. But JImbo may care how he is perceived. He's been at FSU an awful long time to just move like that with no reason other than "liking LSU more".

Why would Jimbo Fisher leave FSU to come to LSU?
do you post this for reverse psychology purposes? To keep from getting your hopes up? To get someone to convince you?

Why wouldn't he? I have no clue about anything that's happening other than what's been posted. Don't even have an opinion on him coaching Lsu other than maybe it's a good idea since it's what the rant wants. But I think it's plausible for reasons that other posters have given

No they don't. You think LSU had a say when Saban left? They might get a chance to counter, but they don't have a say in his leaving unless there is a no competition clause in this contract.

An FSU board (reposted on the Rant) also brought up how complex things can get when it comes to divorce and custody issues.

Frankly, I'm not sure I buy the "Jimbo's a done deal" stuff.

Les may be gone, but that doesn't mean Jimbo's replacing him.
