That's good! It means you'll have fun watching DeBoer and Bama this Saturday and then again later on in the CFP.

I’d rather have DeBoer over kiffin any day - he’s a better coach and he doesn’t sleep with recruits moms.

lose to Auburn and DeBoer was gone, too much smoke and conversations were definitely behind the scenes
win and playoffs kept him with Tide

Eh, if he really wanted to go it would have made no difference. Likewise, if Bama really wanted him gone it wouldn’t matter.
Lots of BS to this Penn st story.

Not even Kiffin would take another job in the coaching cycle.
Plus, didn't he burn some bridges with Bama higher ups or something? I doubt they would even pursue him anyway.
You can't apply logic on this board.
You also can't apply logic to Kiffin.

This might be true, but still, that's never going to happen in the same coaching cycle for a massive number of reasons.

It was allegedly an influential boosters wife. That's what made him radioactive in T-town. Classic Freshwater move.

Manny Diaz would like a word.

He could’ve put that to bed right when the rumors started. Why did he wait until now?

quote:I think it might have had something going in midseason. A little over a month ago, you had Bama fans still outraged over the Fla State arse-whipping, and the unreasonable expectations might have been wearing on him. Meanwhile, you had Penn State, a perennial 10 win team that was open and likely would have welcomed him.quote:

But 2 things happened- Bama righted the ship, and Penn State completely imploded. *Look at LSU as a contrast; actually showed some fight in the 2 losses and seemed to hold onto some recruits.
LSU will be a fairly easy reset for Kiffin, I think. Defense should be solid and kept some players. Whoever goes to Penn State is starting from scratch.
