No bashing here but if a contract has been "signed" it is much more likely that it's a Bama contract. I'd be much more inclined to buy your UT booster client's rumor if he said Saban has agreed in principle on a Texas contract. Actually signing a contract is the very last thing that typically happens well after a coach is at his new school. Not saying he isn't gone but already having a signed contract doesn't seem like SOP for such a high profile job change.

Seems to me UT is showing that they can push in Bamas stool at the time of their choosing. I think it is important that this fact is noted in all of this...

I like where your heads at, any floyd references get major points in my book.
But sadly it's time for bed. When I get to work in the morning I'm sure this will be like 150 pages so I'll have some catching up to do.

Same. In fact, I posted a link to it in several threads in here earlier.

Fun fact, that song is about Mickey Hart's dad stealing a bunch of money from the band and then disappearing.

Correct!
In fact, Mickey left the band for a time after that incident. Stoners are notoriously forgiving, after all, though, and It wasn't exactly Mickey's fault his dad was a scumbag.

I haven't followed this Saban stuff at all and am actively trying to stay away from it. Do people actually believe he is going to leave on this board? Or is this just desperation and hope?

I personally think he's going to Texas but a lot of sources not on this site think he stays at Bama. If the debt stories (mainly the Perkins Rowe deal) and Texas is just going to pay that off and pay him nearly $10 mil a year I don't know how he doesn't leave.

So all Texas has to do is clear their throat and Alabama fans throw in the towel? Noted.

Chip Brown is apparently saying on his website that Mike Tomlin of the Pittsburgh Steelers is being contacted by Texas.
