There will be no announcement on Kiffin until after Ole Miss gets beat in the playoffs. I don’t see him leaving until this season is finished

It’s tiring. Saban flirted with Bears and Colts before heading out. Then Miles had Michigan twice.

LSU is where you get fired in year 3 with 80% wins and no playoff appearances. It's playoffs/championships or you're on the hot seat.

it was maddening when mullen did that shite to us year after year at the end of each season. he'd get so distracted with it, he'd frick up the egg bowl and OM owned him. he'd speak in nonsensical circles just like kiffin does

Idk. With the way Ole Miss is pushing to get a decision, he may not be allowed to coach in the playoffs if he wants to leave. Sucks for the players and what they've worked hard for but I understand the admin's position.
But I'm curious why aren't they putting fillers out there to see who would be interested in the job. I would be ahead of everything just in case if I'm their AD. Right now they seem to have pushed all their chips in the middle and hope he chooses them.

It's how it was looking. Outside year 1, we were never consistent on both sides of the ball. Either you had an elite offense and a historically bad defense (2023) or a passable defense that could keep you in games and a historically bad offense (this year). Never anything in between. And special teams was always crap and never a priority.
You've changed just about all your coaches on both units and got the NIL money to compete and still couldn't do it. What made anyone think he could be trusted with more money in NIL and staff changes when you could never produce results. I get not making a 4-team playoff, but not even in competition for the 12-team playoff? In year 4?

I understand their frustration. I remember Saban’s last couple of years at LSU well. The problem is Saban had 100% of the leverage just like Kiffin does. It’s not fair, but it’s the way things are. Ole Miss needs him very badly. Kiffin doesn’t need Ole Miss at all. In fact they are likely a deterrent to him winning a championship. That’s hard to hear and deal with for their fans.
