I would say in the day of NIL and Rev share a 'good recruiter' is more about the checkbook than a coach.

If it’s Frank Wilson, at Tulane he’d have to go into the weeds for mid-major recruits and he may or may not have the connections to do so nowadays
Like instead of going to Karr and talking to Richard Anderson he’d have to scout them. He won’t beat out P4 programs for guys he used to recruit. He’d have to go to programs he didn’t go to before.

Do they have anybody on staff to promote??? I’ve read that Sumerall didn’t take his coordinators to Florida. Could they be on the short list of easy hires.
