Defensive Coordinator
David Reeves - UAB - DC + D-Line (2 time Broyles Award nominee, consistently fields a top 10 defense)
Marcus Freeman - Cincinnati - DC + Linebackers (young, aggressive, good recruiter, his lb’s play fundamentally sound)
Zach Arnett - Miss State - DC + Linebackers (innovative, experience, successful with less talented rosters)
Brad Lambert - Marshall - DC + Safeties/Linebackers
Defensive Line Coach
Bo Davis - Detroit Lions (good Coach, great recruiter, NFL and college experience, LSU ties)
Elijah Robinson - Texas A&M (good young dline coach, very good recruiter)
David Reeves - UAB - DC + D-Line (2 time Broyles Award nominee, consistently fields a top 10 defense)

Cross Jimmy Lake off your list. He's Washington's head coach.

I have a feeling he will be fielding calls to be a HC. If we were able to land him, he's probably moving on after a year or two. That said, I would still take that, he would be a great hire.

If I'm not mistaken, every one of these guys runs some variation on a 3-4 defense. Not saying that I wouldn't take them because of that, these are all solid candidates, just noting it due to how we've recruited the last two cycles.

The rant told me Nick saban would make a serviceable DC. And if not him, maybe give Bill belichick a shot.

Have you actually seen UNCs defense this year? Lol

No one has a good defense this year

Sure he can field a mediocre to above average NFL squad but he's unproven at the college level. Don't want.

Pete Kwiatkowski til I'm blue in the face. He's been phenomenal at Washington. He's been the DC coach at Washington since 2014 except for 2 years. Has coached multiple all Americans and top rounds draft picks including
1st round - Marcus Peters, Danny Shelton, Vita Vea,
2nd round - Sidney Jones, Kevin King, Buddha Baker, Byron Murphy,, Taylor Rapp

Jim Leonhard has to be a top candidate. Wisconsin has the #1 defense and he has been and is a Broyles award finalist.

Jim Leonhard would be my #1 choice, but there's no way he'd leave Wisconsin. We'd have to make him the highest paid coordinator in the country for him to even consider.
Obviously i don't know him from Adam, but he just seems like a guy that would stay loyal to his hometown school. I'm sure his dream job is to be the HC at Wisconsin one day.

Never mentioned him because I don't think he leaves Wisconsin unless it's a head coaching position.

Unless we woo another top DC from another school with top dollars, (which after the Pelini financial disaster wouldnt make sense). Who is available on the market that would be a good fit?
I dont know about available but I would make another run at Barry Odum.

Would be a great hire, wouldn’t fit what O wants to do running a 4 man front though.
