If what they're saying is true, Frank's gone! Don't need any bad apples trying to spoil the bunch.

Those other schools successfully recruiting the NOLA area have current coaches from the area(Texas/USC) for example. If you remove Frank from the equation, what position coach is left with connections to the area??
He's missed on a lot of recruits out of New Orleans....Aaron Anderson comes to mind. He made his way back because he wasn't getting playing time at Bama, but he missed on him and several others recently. It's not like he has some chokehold on the city to get all the players.

Dude for real....LSU will be fine if Frank Wilson isn't anywhere near the football team anymore.

If the rumors are true, frick keeping him. He can hit the road. Don’t want him anywhere near the program

In the age of kids having agents, this is a fair question. However, in competitive scenarios relationships more often than not make the difference

so what the frick do you propose “we” do to keep Frank Wilson oh my God lol
Give me a fricking break. All this board did was cry about. we want Lane, we want Lane and now he gets here possibly breaks a few eggs and shakes shite up, by maybe getting rid of a RB coach whose offense sucked when it came to rushing the ball and now you’re fricking melting.

No we don't. Trust lane Kiffin.
Look at our offense this year, that falls on the current rt staff that Wilson was part of.

Based on what’s being said about him… good riddance. Terrible RB coach and he is messing with the recruiting class.
Posted on 12/2/25 at 8:07 pm to tigersquad89
Some of you are extremely stupid
He’s a RB coach and not an especially good one. Maybe there will be some short term ramifications if they let him go but over the long haul, we’ll be fine.
Sounds like LSU is doing right by offering an ineffective coach an off field role, most get fired. If Frank does not want to accept that, it’s on him

No we don’t. Frank Wilson cares about Frank Wilson. Stop with the “He loves LSU” bs.

a lot of the defensive issues stem from uncertainty
Posted on 12/2/25 at 8:11 pm to tigersquad89
If the rumors are true, anyone who "loves" LSU wouldn't pull a coup on national signing day eve.

Frankly, this is bullshite and an excuse given to mask the real reason there was a sudden change of heart.

Another thing to point out, New Orleans has produced some great football players, that's for sure. But, LSU has missed out on a lot of players from New Orleans, regardless of who is on staff to recruit them. Take a look through this list of all-time recruits in the state of Louisiana and notice how many of them are actually from New Orleans.....
247 All-Time Recruiting Rankings - Louisiana
It's not as many as people seem to think. There have obviously been some diamonds in the rough that aren't on this list, but ask yourself this: how many of the kids from New Orleans truly made a massive impact or directly changed how successful the team was?
There are a few (recently, Fournette, Mathieu, and I'm sure others), but honestly, the rest of Louisiana has produced the majority of the great players to come through LSU. New Orleans has always been a wild card, while the rest of the state is more consistent in getting kids to go to LSU. Just look how many of those kids are from the immediate area around Baton Rouge, and even from North Louisiana.....
The point is, New Orleans isn't the end-all, be-all of the state, and, in the grand scheme, has produced less overall talent than other areas. Do we need to be able to recruit it? Yes. Can LSU afford to miss out on a few players from New Orleans? Absolutely, it can and has in the past anyway. As I mentioned in a previous post as well, it isn't like Frank is pulling every single kid out of New Orleans, he misses more than he hits if we're being perfectly honest, and he's a shite RB coach...so...if he is truly being a dick about this. Fire his arse and move on. LSU will be fine just as it has in the past.

Frank is a much better HS player evaluator than ball coach. See if he’d like to stay in that capacity. If not, no sweat, Kiffin is the draw. However, if we lose Frank then keeping Raymond is crucial for defensive recruiting.
