Favorite way to play a round by yourself

Been playing solo a good bit lately. Anybody have any innovate idea to make playing alone more interesting?

Two ball worst ball. Hit 2 shots and play from the worse position. Hole a putt twice to end the hole.
Scratch players can’t break 80; Tour level players barely break it.

This sounds miserable

I just enjoy the solitude.

I’m going to have to try that.
Most of my rounds are solo, since with my job I can’t really plan a round ahead of time. I play a lot of two ball, but I just score each ball for the hole. Worst ball sounds more interesting

Scramble yourself with two balls. Builds confidence in your ability to 1) make a good shot , and 2) score .

I'll play rounds where I won't hit driver of the tee. 3 wood/hybrid/long iron. On a familiar course it should leave you with different approaches.

Every time I play solo I have a few extra balls in my pocket so I can practice different chip shots around each green. Also allows me to not push the guys who are in front of me

Alot of times I will pick one shot per hole or one shot per round I will play two of. Maybe on the front, I'll hit two off the tee or two from the fairway or two from within 100, etc.
I like playing solo as well but I can't do a 4 hour solo round. It's agonizing and if the front takes two hours I'll usually ask for a rain check at the turn.
I bought a decent push cart so if I know the course will be packed I'll book either an early or late slot and just walk 9 after hitting the range.

Start on a mid tee.
When you make a birdie(or a par depending on your level of play) move back a tee.
When you make a bogey(or a double depending on ability), move up a tee.
Or play each hole from different tees. For example, play the par 4s from a mixture of white and blue. Play one gold tee par 3 and 1 from blue. Just get some different looks. Play a short par 5, or a long par 3. Move up to where you could drive a par 4.
The other day we were behind the junior golf league, and nobody was pressing us so we played a ball from blue, white, and gold for a couple of holes. It was fun to use more or less club for the same holes we play all the time.

I’ll do a two ball deal where second shot is from fairway to show myself that I need to focus less on distance and more on hitting the short grass.
Also play closest to the pin with different balls. Typically do this if I’m about to switch

Much of the time I play solo. I will usually putt from different spots and try chipping from different spots. Thursday I played from the senior tees and used only irons or 5W from the tees, except for the par 5’s; shot my best round of the year. I’m old enough for the senior tees but usually play the whites.

Definitely bring a Bluetooth speaker and a good cigar. That’s all I need for solo rounds

Walk, carry, speaker, listen to the ballgame or tunes. I play most of my rounds alone and enjoy being out there by myself. Last Friday before dusk I realized I was, literally, the only one out on the course. A brutal hot day so people weren't out golfing but the evening settled into fantastic temps. Such an awesome feeling having the entire course to yourself.
Generally play it straight but many times will play one off the tee and off the drive play two balls in to see which scores better.

Carry only one club. A 6 iron works pretty good for me.

Ended up playing a 2 ball scramble.
Shot much lower than normal and had a lot of fun doing it. 9/10 would recommend

I love getting the first available tee time and walking.
It’s quite peaceful to be out there with the dew still on the ground an with no rush/waiting

Tried that today. Got rained out after 12, was 7 over. Sniffed birdie on the first par 3, but couldn’t make both.
Pretty good way to improve the short game I think
