Clerk who stabbed robber is a victim of George Soros

The real point here is that society should not have put that clerk in such a position, and that this is the fault of George Soros, and the democrats, for eliminating the consequences of petty theft and now even serious crimes. This has resulted in young delinquents getting bolder about smash-and-steal, ca- jackings, etc.
Without the government protecting us from criminals - the most basic reason for government - citizens will increasingly have to do it themselves. And because citizens don’t choose these battles, they will often be faced with more powerful criminals and have to use weapons.
Our laws are written in a way that assumes an overall atmosphere of lawfulness. In the frontier days, when the law did not have control of that region, no one would think for a moment that the clerk was in the wrong.
And that clerk probably would not have stabbed that kid if it was an isolated incident. But the increasing chaos and lawlessness has put merchants in a position of having to go out of business or fight back.
That clerk is the real victim here.

I haven't followed this closely, are their people saying the clerk was in the wrong?
As he was in the process of being victimized in a violent strong armed robbery

You can’t just stab someone repeatedly because they are stealing from you. Can the owner make a reasonable case of self defense? Sure. Do I think it was justified? Probably not based on the short clip I’ve seen of the attempted theft and stabbing. I say that because the owner came around a corner to stab the guy as he was trying to grab something off the shelf. Not come at the owner.

So when you're the victim of a strong armed robbery and outnumbered and the perp jumps over the counter you can in a split second judge his intentions.
frick yourself, I wish he would have cut his throat.
These escalate ALL THE TIME into murder of the clerk, you come in and start a felony robbery it should be instant death.

Absolutely. As soon as the young man finished stealing, he was gonna have to use his proceeds to pay for college. He wanted to be a doctor.

Society as a whole was made to function with people holding to some sort of moral code. Now that more and more generations have drifted from these moral moorings, and the consequences for crime has been diminished greatly, the situation will only worsen.

One of the few areas where Islamic law is superior to English law IMO

And you sir are the problem, the perp made a conscious decision to jump the counter and attempt to steal. HE PUT HIMSELF IN A SITUATION FOR ACTIONS TO BE TAKEN AGAINST HIM. The results are not what he wanted but if he hadn't have jumped the counter he wouldn't have been stabbed.
Take responsibility for your own actions

I’m sick of splitting hairs over shite like this. The way I see it, at this point, the moment you initiate a criminal act you should automatically forfeit every possible benefit of the doubt over the person against whom you initiated that act.
OP is often all over the place, but he nailed it here.
People want a system like they are creating, and this is what you get. frick em.

In some states you can. You can use deadly force to defend life or property.
Once he started stabbing he had to finish it.

I guess it depends upon the state and whether that state says you have a responsibility to file rather than defend yourself and your property.
In some states you can shoot fleeing Robert's if they have your property and you don't think you have NYC of a chance to recover the items.

Do I think it was justified?
fricking A I do. In other words, absolutely. I think the guys a hero.

As stated, in some states and in my moral compass, you can shoot someone in the act of burglary. If someone is in my home at night without my permission, I have the right to kill him.

I don't see where the heck people say property isn't worth killing someone over. Sure it is. You could say how much but that just gets stupid. This was not someone trying to shop lift. This was a strong arm robbery.
Could a jewelry store shoot at a robber who had a hammer and was smashing cases so they could steal 8 million dollars?
How about if you were in the arctic and in the middle of nowhere and someone was stealing your snow mobile and you would be stuck out there alone and possibly die?

Yep. Remove the crooked legal interpretation and the store counter is the line.
You cross the line, you pay the consequences.
The store owner should not be victimized.

Yes, Soros is part of the problem. But…There’s a couple generations that grew up with no consequences for their actions. They were taught that they were all victims. This thug, like the WNBA chick found out the hard way. Probably going to see much more of this.

One thing people don't realize are the cultural differences between those not born and raised in a relatively wealthy first world country.
Life is CHEAP in many parts of Asia and Central America where the NYC Bodega guy was from who diced up the robber.
Respect their cultures you racist shitlords.

You are the very definition of what is wrong with this country. You bend over backwards to nit pick someone, which could ruin their life, when it all boils down to 2 pieces of scum that decided to rob the wrong person. If they would’ve decided to get jobs and earn a respectable living, they’d still be alive. Instead, they decided to steal from someone else’s livelihood and paid the consequences. That dead thief should be thrown in a garbage can and life should move on. We are watching the systematic breakdown of our society and yet you defend the trash that threatens our way of life. Pathetic

When the government has shown an unwillingness to protect the citizenry they are often forced to defend themselves. This gentleman appears quite capable of doing just that

Judged by 12 or carried by 6, take your pick.

And therein lies the problem with our justice system.
We have been trained to think that retaliation for a crime must be equal to or less than the crime.
frick that.
Retaliation should be greater than the crime. You want to REALLY deter criminals? Make the penalty for fricking around and finding out so bad that they are scared to risk it. Cutting off hands or just flat out killing criminals would get them to consider getting a job and going straight.
And, even if it didn't deter them, after that second hand gets cut off I think they will probably chill out on the whole thug life thing.
