From the Louisiana Department of Education--Louisiana Believes

It is a shame districts like Tangipahoa score so poorly. Think about below average in the state many consider 49 or 50th in the USA.

Orleans is really remarkable. In 2005 they were last. No district has more "at risk" students. School choice using charters and vouchers now make the district better than many districts one would never think of being worse than Orleans Parish.

Baker and Zachary are polar opposites, despite being next door to one another.

Bossier is successful. They are about to open a bigger alternative school because they are filling the existing one up. Probably a justice dept. lawsuit in the future for them.

Caddo is a sinking ship. Too long a list for this thread. They are constantly changing schools up (closing them, changing grade levels) staying ahead of the state. I don’t know how Caddo fills their teacher ranks every year.

Only when educators score themselves is a 64 a "C".

I guess when our wonderful state makes the scores, we can trust them.

High schools are scored based on:
25% ACT
12.5% LEAP score
12.5% progress - did they do better than last year even if they didn’t score what they were supposed to
20% graduation rate
25% strength of diploma
5% club opportunities

They had a severe impact status with more than 17 days of closure due to emergency. So their scores aren’t published.

Wtf is happening in St Tammany?

And how the heck is Plaquemines almost an A still?

Wonder how St Bernard would be doing without Orleans students there…

The top 2 districts have one high school each? If so, no wonder they're at the top.
