Ranked 125 out of 133. When the other team has the ball they have a 58% chance of scoring. If you were successful 42% of the time at your work what would your boss say?

this defense has no pride. I don't care what the talent level is or how bad we think the schemes are this is all about effort and pride to be this bad.

We definitely should be paying a head coach 10M/yr for these results.

Can’t wait for this Grindin Brian experiment to completely bust. Feel sorry for the holdouts when shite really hits the fan. He was an above average coach in a non-conference team. Now he’s hit the buzzsaw he doesn’t know wtf to do.

I don't think you stated that as well as you should have.
It should read:
"House, who is the highest paid DC in college football ( 2 Mil. per) is costing us a national championship and deeply damaging the LSU Brand."

He made a mistake in hiring a dud defensive staff. If he hit there, we would be talking about LSU as the SEC favorite and national title contender.

Brian Kelly's detractors said he fields mediocre offenses, can't develop QB's, and doesn't recruit that well: Top 3 offense (2nd best in LSU history); Jayden Daniels developed into Heisman candidate; Top 5 class in 2023 - jury is out on 2024 and beyond, largely due to defensive misses.

Kelly will have to answer for the defensive staff pick, but nothing can be done about it now. He will address in the offseason.

It's going to be a rough season. Can't expect the offense to carry the team while the defense is non existent.

And let's be honest: Ole Miss's defense was absolute dogshit too. When we play a defense with a pulse (Florida State) our offense gets held to a certain amount of points.

And people don’t want to fire Matt house.

“Our defense will get worse” literally the worst of them all already

I'll bet the LSU Defense coaching staff makes more money than the last 30 teams coaching staffs combined on that list. Unacceptable for money being paid out and the results.

We had several dropped touchdowns vs florida state. Should've scored 40+ that game.

Gives hint why top DL recruits are
leaving the State instead of staying home.

Tackling, angles, and bad zone D is the culprit. This all comes down to coaching. Sure the talent dropped off but they should be servicable if they have good fundamentals and a DL that can get pressure.

But my biggest complaint on 3rd/4th is that the offense needs 5 yrds for a 1st down and the dbs are playing 8yds off the ball and then back up another 3 yards as the WR takes off.

For those players with NFL aspirations, film matters..if it’s evident you’re not putting out maximum effort on the field, it will affect your draft stock and wallet..I hope this is communicated accordingly
