In the broadcast last night, Larry talked about procedures during the offseason and how he never got a preseason, etc. and he was still working through all that.

That kind of makes sense but doesn't exactly explain his lack of lift and athleticism.

Sounds like he believes he's now healthy and will be all the way back in a week or so. If so, that's a nice lift but minutes are going to be even harder to come by with this roster.

Listening to larry, he's from the Cleveland area and loves it there. Could we send him home?

Could we do a Larry, Kira, and some picks for Allen? Throw in Naji?

Cleveland gets off Allen's deal for some expiring if they want to go a different direction. Probably need more for them though.

Not really sure why Allen is on the block and what they are looking for.

Wouldn't Larry just take Zeller's minutes? Jonas is playing great this year and hardly ever misses time so there isn't much playing time available at that spot to begin with.

B/c he makes too much money for what he does.
We don’t need $20M/yr Allen.
We need a cheaper backup 5 who’s more athletic than JV to defend the perimeter and/or rim if Larry can’t do it effectively any more.
A healthy Larry is more than suffice.

He's the backup center, minutes should be easy for them.

I get that Larry is never healthy, but when healthy, he's pretty darn good and very easily a top 8-9 player in our rotation.

He hasn’t been good in almost a year. Started out last year very good, got injured and hasn’t looked good since.

I want to package Larry and Kira at the deadline for Gafford.

JV and Gafford is a pretty damn good center rotation

Agree with all except the last comment. Larry has not shown to suffice.

A healthy Larry has. Problem is that is rarely seen.

Unfortunately I think Larry has lost a 1/2 step. He doesn’t have that bounce he used to have. Still can be a solid rotation guy to give Jonas minutes but Cody Zeller had also really provided a spark in Larry’s absence. I have no idea why Griff has an infatuation with Jarrett Allen because Jonas has been nothing short of fantastic this year. He’s really worked on his 3 ball. That brings an entire new aspect to our offense when Jonas is given the chance to pass to open guys or take a shot.

I don't think that we can win a series against MIN or DEN without a second quality big. That means that we either need Larry to get back to last year's form, or we need to upgrade the position.

So, at this point, we'd be trading and upgrading Larry, not JV.

JRE has low key impressed me with his 3pt shooting.

He's not someone who can guard either of the Gobert/KAT duo when we play MIN, nor can he guard Jokic when we play DEN, nor can he guard Davis when we play LAL.

We need someone in addition to JV who we can put on the court against those teams.

No doubt. A healthy Larry is a legit rotation player and contributor on this team. An unhealthy Larry is still a contributor on this team based on his locker room leadership and intangibles. I get some of you love playing GM, but this constant need to jettison everyone on this team is confounding.
