Whether it’s bibles in classrooms for Oklahoma Public Schools or hanging the Ten Commandments in Louisiana schools
- we still have separation of church and state - and also freedom from religion to uphold :)
If I wanted my son or daughter to learn about the Bible - there’s a thing called Sunday School.

I say all the time I don’t want this woke/genderless bullshite pushed by the government, but I also don’t want Old Testament law. But the pendulum do swing.

Stop letting the state raise your children. The founders didn't believe in that

Was the 10 commandments taught or displayed in schools when our nation was founded? Yes or no.

There wasn’t a public school system…so no, when the public school system was first started it was not in the classroom, so no.

Or you could maybe just teach kids to think for themselves and be responsible members of society
Instead of spending their time on 4chan or wall street bets - shrug ????? No church of mine teaches them to do that

Here is the problem that you avoid. MSM is controlled by the government. They promote anti Christian narratives. So in short, the separation of church and state do not exist. The DOE needs to be abolished for this reason amongst many others.

That separation thing you mentioned has taken a different path than what it was intended for

and also freedom from religion
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof... ".

It’s freedom of religion meaning you can practice whatever religion you choose

separation of church and state

While I do believe it is up to parents to raise their children and enshrine their religious beliefs in their own children, I also think the left has gone too far with expanding the establishment clause.
I believe the establishment clause was clearly created to prevent a future version of the Church of England where the state controlled all matters of church and state, and wasn’t meant for the state to enforce a secular agnostic state where any mention of a religion has to be removed.
The term separation of church and state doesn’t even appear in the constitution. The modern use of this comes from a 1947 case based on writings of Thomas Jefferson stating there should be a wall of separation between church and state. Again, I believe given the historical context this has to do with a situation like the Church of England where people were brutally forced to adopt the new religion to appease the king.

Find a private school then. Time we flip the script. Christianity is the most popular religion in America. Bibles in public schools.

Show me where it says this in Constitution. That line is from a Jefferson essay and also cited in a supreme court decision. There is no freedom FROM, hence the reason Muslims are allowed to pray in schools although Christians are not.
