Frist, DOGE has saved enough money to cover the cost and more significantly there is a true value in a soldiers morale. Seems like a cheap investment.

I took another look at Jen's Twitter/X feed and she's doing a little clean up posting a link to a 2021 article about the military base name changes. The problem is this article did not emphasize the 62.5 million dollar cost to rename the bases. it was a brief mention as one of the last sentences in the rather large article. This post makes things worse.

How can it cost $2M? Can’t they reuse most of the signs, only having to replace the ones that utilize the full name or first initial?

It's not just the signs. Letter head, media, and anything else that official uses the name Bragg. Removal and replacement adds up.
