Don’t start these fricking games unless you have a 3 hour window.

So Jay controls decisions at home?
Glad we can finally settle that.

With the ramped up weather lately, I’m sure his decision to do so has saved quite a few starts for the big guns.

Jay is definitely a little over cautious with weather avoidance. Rain delays are apart of baseball and both teams have to deal with the same thing. You could make an argument this delay is better for us.

He’s not happy now the pitching gets muddied a little bit

I definitely don’t think it’s better for us. We run our starters 5-7 innings and we only got 3 here. UCLA never runs this guy that started over 4.

3 hour window of what? 0% chance of rain?

We had our starter in. UCLA did not. I’d love to hear that argument

Considering Jay postponed a game 5 hours or whatever for no rain in BR, if he had the same control for the CWS, this game wouldn't be played for 3 weeks.

So UCLA will be on their 3rd pitcher and the guy who has 3 strikeouts in 1 inning of work will be burned? Sounds good for our offense

First bullpen guy limited LSU to 1 run. He's probably done for the night. Win tonight and AE is available for a couple of relief innings Wednesday helping to avoid a Thursday game, or if coming out of the losers bracket, help force a Thursday game.
Not ideal, but not the end of the world.

or if coming out of the losers bracket,

Eyanson didn’t have his best stuff. We are the better team up 2 runs. I’m not mad Eyanson is getting some rest. We will need him
