Was watching it and remembered one of the greatest lines on any show that I can remember..
“I wish there was a way to know you’re in the good ole days before you’ve actually left them”-Andy B

Great finale to a great show! I loved the line up to the proposal.

Hated Andy's character but that line slapped hard.

Creed in the audience with the beard was great.

Only show that could pull off a “That’s what she said” that can damn near make you cry.

The show really went to shite when Steve Carrel left but I thought they rallied for the last season which was good and the finale was great.

Yes how fell off a cliff once Michael left. Even the last season dragged until the last four to five episodes when they rapped it up.

There’s an old Jonathan Lethem novel that starts with (paraphrasing) “It’s never a good sign for a relationship when you’re nostalgic for the present”

Listened to a podcast that there were actually 3 finales for The Office:

- Pam & Jim’s Wedding
- Michael Leaving Dunder Mifflin
- The Actual Finale

I'm not sure if that's the first time I ever heard somebody say it, but this is a saying I'm constantly thinking about because of how true it is. The good ole days are always in the past.

I thought the show struggled for a bit after Michael left, but I enjoyed the last season and thought the Robert California character worked for the most part.

Andy as boss just didn’t work, I think they were hoping he was on a similar trajectory following the hangover wave like carrell after 40 year old virgin

Just everything about boss Andy sucked. They also wasted so much time on Andy and Erin for that to lead no where, never got that.

Would have liked the Schrute Farms series.

Andy didn't have a core competency.

Michael wasn't much of a leader but he was a great salesman.

Andy wasn't much of a salesman but he also wasn't a leader. Probably should have been fired when he punched the wall.

My old boss acted just like that character. Ivy league educated, snobby and smarter than you. It was always about him. Collected a bunch of random crap and try to lecture you on it. Would always try to shoehorn some leadership fable or advice into every conversation.

I'd have doubted the authenticity of the character if I wouldn't have lived it with this guy.
