Haner getting a shot with starters tomorrow

Jake Haener
Despite the consensus believing the QB1 battle is exclusively between Shough and Rattler, Kellen Moore has named third-year quarterback Jake Haener as a candidate for the job. Haener has a longer road to be the starter, but he will get his opportunity nonetheless after Moore announced he will see work with the first-team in some capacity on Friday.
Haener had the best throw of the day with a beautifully placed ball to Juwan Johnson towards the sideline of the end zone.
So far little separation with the 3 QBs but good to see Shough have some improvement today. I don’t like practice reports describing Shough as antsy but will reserve judgement until next week.

If a rookie looks as good as the veteran that’s bad news for Haener. Haener and Rattler should be ahead.

I watched a few games where Jake was playing and he was pretty accurate with his throws. Our team is just trash and he has no time and our receivers can't catch shite. It'll be tough for any QB on this team.

Based on what I’ve seen in game situations, I’m not sure where the confidence in Rattler is coming from…
