I like how he has a new drink in basically every cut.

Good eats is great stuff. I still go back and randomly watch on occasion. I never got to watch the new season of good eats because I don't have cable. Is it available on any streaming platform?

The Escoffeir book being intentionally placed upside down isn't subtle.

With what appear to be his own handwritten cooking notes on top.

This popped up in my feed today, but I’ve been watching turkey cooking vids.

I hope he keeps them coming.

My soon to be 12yo has recently become interested in cooking and watching cooking shows, just introduced him to Good Eats and Iron Chef America, I've enjoyed going back through them.

Used to love Alton. He was the second wave of my love of cooking. First being PBS’ series of shows (frugal gourmet, Yan Can Cook…etc)

I met Alton and Martin Yan at the KBIS show in the late 2000’s. Great experience. Alton was totally friendly and chatty. Martin was pleasant and signed two cookbooks I won answering trivia.

The Great Chefs series is still the GOAT.

Wasn’t the Frugal Gourmet found to be a kiddie diddler?

It's ok. I overestimate the IQ of fellow internet posters all the time.

I do too. Looks like he mellowed out a bit from a few years ago, he was looking gaunt and went way too far with his herky jerky mannerisms. Back to the Alton we all know and love

Thanks a lot, you just made me spend 2 hours watching AB. He is very entertaining, the episode on b'fast noodles has a lot of his old schticks.

Thanks for the heads up.
