As I am getting ready to get my CC permit I am looking for options to conceal my handgun? During cold weather I may not have a problem, but what about the hot summer time.

I work with a few folks who let their beer guts hang over it

First of all, that’s false. That’s uncomfortable as frick. I carry3-5 o’clock to avoid the gut.

Second, I wear Magellan/Columbia button up fishing shirts when it’s warm and I have zero issues. It’s not as visible to others as much as it is to you, because you’re looking for it.

I can’t speak for people on the skinnier side, but I’d imagine any loose fitting shite should suffice.

I wear wrangler ACG pants and shorts as well as wrangler retro jeans the lil bit of stretch is nice for inside the waistband carry, also get a belt like a riggers belt so can adjust to fit and not the next notch in a belt.
I wear tshirts and fishing shirts and polos untucked and never had an issue, most people are too busy on their phones to pay attention and as long as your not wearing 5.11 tactical pants and a Glock T-shirt with don’t tread on me hat you will be fine.

IMO-I’m new to CC too. Many of your questions will be self addressed when you start carrying everyday. It’s the little things that you will notice for yourself. I’ve not bought anything extra other than original belly band holster for p365 x macro comp I’ve had for a year. It’s too easy to waste money without any results. I’m shooting more to get natural with it.

I carry in my pocket when wearing shorts. Use a soft coozie for a holster so I don't inadvertently find the trigger digging for my keys.

As long as you can wear a good belt and untucked shirt you'll be fine. Vedder light tuck behind the hip if you're fat or appendix carry if youre not fat. If you have to tuck your shirt in then you need to have somewhat loose fitting clothes but otherwise, again, no concern.

If you cant wear a good belt, its gonna be a problem no matter what. Working out for example, is damned difficult to carry while doing.

If you havent noticed yet, the belt is what makes or breaks it for both comfort and concealment.

Belt. Belt. Belt.

I wear black t-shirts, IWB carry at 1 o’clock and the print barely shows unless one is looking for it.

For casual/outdoor dress, my favorite is the Wilderness Instuctor Frequent Flyer belt. I also have some Wilderness Instructor belt knock offs I bought off Amazon. They're a LOT cheaper and generally ok, but avoid any belts w/ any elastic in it. An elastic belt and that little bit of stretch is not good for cc wear. For dressier wear, I use leather belts from Ronin Custom Leather. The quality is good, turnaround quick and price fair.

Button the 2nd button from the bottom on your shirt so your gun won't show if you catch a gust of wind. I ordered some extra long t-shirts, but they weren't worth the extra money. You'll naturally gravitate to your longer t-shirts.

Summer is more challenging to cover a CC weapon due to fewer clothes. I use an IWB hip holster and also switch to a single-stack Shield M&P9, which lowers the profile and helps some.

I carry appendix and typically don't have issues. I have a NexBelt and wear golf type polos most of the time. I can sit and criticize myself in the mirror if I'm printing, but 99.9% of people will never notice.

I recently lost it and need to get a new one, but I had a Comfort Concealment belt which is basically a velcro'd elastic belt that I could secure my holster without belt loops and I could wear under sports shorts.

I went through my jackets and I have a Carhartt hooded jacket that has an inside pocket big enough for my S&W M&P 9mm Shield to fit in. This solves my cold weather carry question.

I am a bit different. I have a back pack with me all the time mainly for work so I carry that way. I have a 5.11 backpack that has a dedicated CCW Velcro pocket. Easy Peasy. I also have some nice Del Fatti IWB holsters for carrying a Sig 226 Legion or my Volkmann custom 1911 as well though.
