If tweet fails to load, click here. Crazy to think gov intel agencies may already be using something similar.

- The post features a video demo of AI analyzing a bird's vocalizations via real-time spectrograms and network graphs mapping "spread context" and "domain descriptions," highlighting tools already decoding avian songs into semantic structures.
- 2025 advancements, including Project CETI's AI translation of sperm whale codas (Nature, Sep 2025) and Google's DolphinGemma for dolphin communication patterns, indicate decoding multiple species' signals is accelerating, aligning with the post's 10-year timeline.
- Human BCIs like Neuralink's 2025 clinical trials enable thought-to-text for paralyzed individuals (STAT News, Dec 2025), but animal two-way interfaces lag, with early lab applications suggesting ethical challenges in interpreting non-human intent, as thread replies humorously underscore.

We are losing the ability to talk to eachother, but we are gaining the ability to talk to birds and fish?

I can finally tell my dog to stop throwing up on the carpet!

It is still shitty with chemical engineering.
It gives 25%+ fake reports
It will likely tell you that that dog wants your pecker, but not that the dog wants to bite your pecker off

Been done. Dr. Dolittle.
TIL Looking up the otiginal Dr. Dolittle movie, the lead actor is Richard Attenborough. I'm like, "Is this guy related to the guy who does the British voice for the animal documentaries, David Attenborough?" They be bros. Just saying.
Langniappe: Richard was the scientist in Jurrasic Park. They have a younger brother who ran Rolls-Royce Royce and later Alpha Romeo.
I'm bored
