Crazy that Oklahoma St lost entire team to portal

Having to grab 60 players from the portal has got to be expensive as hell, just because of the volume of players needed.

As i understand it, the cost is more or less the same either way. Got to pay current players returning.
But yeah, thats absurd. I didnt know they are replacing their entire team.

That is really concerning actually. Because stuff like that could happen to our team almost every year if they don’t start laying down some guidelines with this transfer portal nightmare.

There are probably 500+ players in the portal that would get a pay bump just from revenue share by going from a small school to Oklahoma st. Vast majority of the kids in the portal aren't getting massive NIL deals.

Ok State is now basically North TX. Hard to compete in the Big 12 with a AAC roster regardless who the coach is.

Look how many 4/5 stars we essentially processed. We had a bad season but you really think they were all misses or bad scheme, coaches, strength and conditioning etc. Sometimes you’re the windshield and sometimes you’re the bug…the new CFB system. Play the game and abuse it or get abused.

There will always be enough players in the portal to field a team. If you can't afford to get the guys you want you'll be stuck with bottom of the barrel guys and a losing record, but you will be able to field a team, nonetheless.

Unfortunately, congress passing some sort of antitrust exemption for college athletics has to happen. Without it it will descend into a few billionaires funding hundreds of million dollar payrolls, players able to transfer mid-season… if not mid-game, and the only fans remaining being fans of chaos.

These kids are getting terrible advice. Apparently anywhere from 30-50% of these kids in the portal will not find another landing spot. Giving up a once in a lifetime opportunity for nothing.
