Michigan doesnt make sense, BU is going to be the starter there regardless, JMU works if he wants a guaranteed start but LSU and Kentucky are higher up and would let him compete at the very least with LSU being a better place than Kentucky and Michigan if hes alright with being a backup

I can’t blame the kid if he wants to start and be THE guy at a school. I will never resent a kid for trying to maximize the amount of football he plays. If that’s JMU or UK, so be it.
But if he picks Michigan over us… that’s one of the worst decisions of all time.

2 of those have their QB1. So maybe he’s ok being a backup? Not familiar with JMUs roster.

The only reason I see him *not* coming to LSU is if we manage to sign both Leavitt and Longstreet. I know people think we can’t get both of those but I could easily see Longstreet agreeing to develop for a year and take the reigns assuming Leavitt is a one-and-done, or even thinking he can win out over the injury.
If the QB room isn’t crowded overnight like it could become, this is just a better situation than the other three schools

Why not? Longstreet has no business demanding a starting job considering he didnt play last year whereas Leavitt has started and would come in as the presumptive starter but also no doubt that Lane will play whomever wins the QB battle as shown by his willingness to stay with Chambliss even after Simmons got healthy. Its likely that we only sign one of Clark and Longstreet though.
