quote:

LSU was the first P4 school to offer me once the portal hit on Friday the 2nd. I was surprised by the call after my agent, Johnny Townsend, and QB Trainer, Baylin Trujillo, told me I might receive a call from LSU, and when it happened, it was for sure a moment I won’t forget. Coach Dane Stevens was the one who offered me over the phone,” Clark told The Bengal Tiger. “Coach Kiffin has a presence about him that really makes us recruits believe we officially made it at the pinnacle of football. He is very laid back and confident, which matches my personality. It was great spending time with him in his office, talking about how he’s developed quarterbacks with my skill set and how he’s all in with whoever he chooses as his signal caller.”

quote:

I can come in the spring and make an immediate impact. I have 3 years so I’m able to come in, learn, develop, and compete at the highest level while being coached by arguably the best QB minds in all of football with Coach Kiffin, Coach Weis Jr. and Coach Stevens.,” Clark said in They all have bet on guys like me and have built true winners at the quarterback position. A prime example is Trinidad Chambliss. They believe I have similar traits to him as well as Matt Corral and Jaxon Dart.

quote:

I want to make my decision by the end of the weekend. JMU, Kentucky, Michigan, LSU and now Tennessee have all expressed interest in different ways. I’m just truly blessed that I’m being valued for my talent that I work so hard to perfect. So much to still learn but I truly believe I’m the best player in any locker room,” Clark said. “LSU is every kid’s dream, and now that Coach Kiffin is there, it’s every quarterback’s dream to compete at a place where the standard is National Championships.”

All due respect to the kid if he doesn’t come here with the situation he’s being presented, he’s a bit slow.

I think he's trying to figure out if he wants to start right away or sit behind someone. If Leavitt had signed already I think he would be here already. Because he knows he would eventually take over the reigns. If Husan signs it's likely he won't start here unless an injury happens

It's a no-brainer for him to come learn from our staff, start or no start. If it doesn't work out, then he can transfer with a year of the best quality QB coaching available under his belt. If it does work out, he could become a legend.

I think he may have his eyes set on killing it in spring ball and not letting up.

I am sure that it was explained that he first has to compete with whoever the other QB transfer will be and earn the job. He and his advisors, agent know there is possibility he sits for a year or two.
He won't start at Michigan.
Kentucky signed the Minchey kid from Notre Dame who was in tight competition with Carr to start.
JMU is a Napier offense.

Seems like a kid with his head on straight. I'd be extremely happy with him and either Longstreet or Leavitt. He'd get first team reps in the spring if leavitt signs and I don't think Kiffin would give Leavitt the starting spot if Clark out-performs him in the fall. Longstreet/Clark would be open competition too.

Either way, I think he'd get a real shot to win the job.

Sounds like he saved LSU visit for last because he knew that’s where he would end up.

This is our new qb.
