Is Walker Howard 5* out of STM a viable candidate as a backup QB?

Walker Howard climbed into Top 50 prospects on 247Sports, lands 5-star rating. Sat on the bench at LSU then transferred to Ole Miss and did not see the field. AS a Rajin Cajun was injured last year. Wonder if he would be a candidate for Backup role? Or maybe the high school ability did not transfer over to the college ranks. I remember thinking what a big get he was when he originally signed with LSU.

What sucks for a good back up qb, he has to wait to play but actually be good enough to impact an offense in the event of. He isnt that guy. Jmo.

I think he’s ending his football career. He was back healthy at the end of last season at ULL and wasn’t playing.

Howard never progressed in college like most thought. At this point, he’s not good enough to play in the SEC and looks inferior to most power 4 QB’s.

Yep. The reason why Walker Howard isn’t an answer is because … in 3 years, he hasn’t played.
He transferred to UL, got the start, and then was injured and out for the season.
So, I think at this point, the game has passed him by.

Walker was "dating" Kiffin's daughter before Whit Weeks.

What does that have to do with Howard, exactly? He was not on the Ole Miss team last season; he was the starter at UL Lafayette until he got hurt, torn oblique in game one.

Was at the UL opener this year that Howard started, and he wasn't good. He got injured in that game I know, but the first 3 1/2 quarters were not impressive at all.
