If you are an American in Iran right now, Darwin should be left alone to do its thing.

Why are they still there?

Iran: Protests across Iran are escalating. Increased security measures, road closures, public transportation disruptions, and internet blockages are ongoing. Airlines continue to limit or cancel flights to and from Iran, with several suspending service until Friday, January 16. U.S. citizens should expect continued internet outages, plan alternative means of communication, and, if safe to do so, consider departing Iran by land to Armenia or Türkiye.
U.S.-Iranian dual nationals must exit Iran on Iranian passports. The Iranian government does not recognize dual nationality and will treat U.S.-Iranian dual nationals solely as Iranian citizens. U.S. nationals are at significant risk of questioning, arrest, and detention in Iran. Showing a U.S. passport or demonstrating connections to the United States can be reason enough for Iranian authorities to detain someone.

Those persian women make it so hard that one just does not want to leave.

Absolutely.
This is how it should be:
America: "hey. American citizen. Iran is really really really not a good place to travel to because of this, this, this, and this."
Stupid individual:
"You can't tell me what to do! I'll do what I want!!!"
America:
"Just saying. It's really really really not a good idea."
Stupid individual:
"I don't GAS what you think! F you!"
America:
"K"

Almost as wise as the guy on here years back who was asking if he should let his Ukranian wife and child remain in eastern Ukraine when the Russians were preparing to invade…

They're planning to start executing captured protestors publicly on Wednesday. Hopefully our response comes before then.

This. Trump promised them our full support is they overthrew the gov't. We need to keep the damage to a minimum.

I'm as big a Trump supporter as there is, but I will be massively disappointed if they allow these mother frickers to start killing protestors publicly.

Same. You don't dangle that carrot and not deliver. I think he comes through bigly for them.

I read that he will be "making a decision on it" tomorrow. I would think pieces are already in place.

Is he using up too much of the internet for you?

If Iran (specifically the ayatollah and his traditional muslims) is ever going to be taken out of the picture - with the situation on the ground there as it is, now is as opportune a time as we'll get for a LONG time

The Iranian people, perhaps more than any other people deserve our help. I would gladly get jocked up and go fight for them. US and the Britts fricked them over so bad with that puppet regime we put in place after ww twice and let the radical leftist islamist fester nearly 40 years before it imploded and the revolution happened. IMO America and the UK sold the average Iranian out.
Why ANY American would be there now is beyond me....... unless they are spook. In my younger days I read every thing I could about Persia/Iran. !979 is one of the reasons I went into the military. Knowing the whole story is eye opening.

Bingo!
It’ll be Biblical, the Great Satan & the Jews emancipate 92 million Persians from the yoke of Islam.
That’ll leave a mark.
