Rep. Randy Fine (R-Fla.) has introduced a bill to make Greenland the 51st state in the U.S., following President Trump’s recent push to acquire the Danish territory.
The “Greenland Annexation and Statehood Act” was introduced by the Florida Republican on Monday, his office said in a press release. The bill’s goals, according to its text, include enabling “the annexation and subsequent admission to statehood of Greenland.”

Even under the Northwest Ordinance of 1787 territories needed to have a population of 60,000 "free adult males" before they could apply for statehood.

I’m not opposed to the creation of new states, but Greenland is far too small. Perhaps they could get statehood after we annex Canada by bundling them with some other Canadian provinces/territories like Nunavut, Newfoundland, and Labrador. However, I doubt the Greenlanders would want to be ruled by Canadians.

If Randy Fine supports it it’s assuredly a bad idea.

Of course Randy Fine would be the one to do this.
I bet he’s going to try to build a synagogue there too, what a fat simp he is

We dont need to take over the entire island.....just need a business deal to allow us to set up military installations and total access to the minerals.
Donnie will make that happen.

Well......we are in luck!

Well, if Greenland is given state hood, they would have less than 1 electoral vote based on their population of 57,000.

Kinda why I don’t want anymore unattached states… duh.

51st state
Canada had their chance. Guess they’ll have to be 52nd.
In all seriousness, could you imagine if we did take in both? Continuity from Florida to Alaska. Huge land and natural resource acquisition but low population increase.

We'd be giving 57,000 people 2 Senators.

Liberals melting over Greenland more than the polar ice caps ever have due to “climate change.”

What 60k residents living on Danish welfare are the makings of a state?
