This feels like this has happened quite a bit the last few years. A player goes down and is "day to day". All of a sudden "day to day" becomes out for a month

He hasn't been cleared for contact a day before the game. I'd say that sounds like it's pretty certain he won't be playing. If he's not available on Saturday (home vs. Missouri), I'd say an 0-7 start to SEC play is a pretty good probability with two road games at Florida and Arkansas that would have been tough to win even with him in the lineup.

Man, this is looking good. Injuries have killed the season already.
Probably would've won the aTm and USC game with him. Heck they may have given Vandy a run with him. Throw in Reed and we would be in good shape this season.

Is 0-4 imminent?
Probably, but let’s have some fun
The loss to SC last week felt like the nail in the coffin, but I am forever a sunshine pumper.
Question for the optimistic LSU fans - what is the magic number for us to get in the NCAAT? 8-10? 9-9? # of Q1 wins?
If we can get DJ Thomas back Saturday, I still see a path to 8 wins**
(1/17) Mizzou - MUST WIN
Win 1 of 2 vs Arkansas
Miss State
@ SC
@ Texas
@ Ole Miss
OU
A&M
**assuming this scenario would only give us 2 or 3 Q1 wins at best. Feels like we would need to win at least one game that we shouldn’t… vs UGA (2/7), @ Tennessee (2/14), @ Auburn (3/3)

The real question is whether the administration uses these injuries as an excuse to give Mcmahon another year

I don’t think so. I think he is gone if he doesn’t make the NCAAT

8 might get them in
But you have them winning 3 conference road games. Which just doesn't seem in the cards.

4 more years!!!! 4 more years!!!! He is still building HIS team and culture. by 2030 we will be there right on the bubble of the NCAA tourney!!!!

win this game and we're back on the bubble. the NIT bubble but at least it's a bubble.

Coaches life depends on 1 player. Cutting it to close on roster construction or NIL money?

He'll come back against Missouri, tweak it, and then he'll sit out the rest of the year and transfer

The very limited amount of information LSU puts out (and anyone bothers to ask about) keeps calling it a "lower leg injury". It seems likely a foot injury. It also seems similar to what we saw in the past with guys like Marlon Taylor and Charles Manning. They were always "day to day", but didn't play for several games. Then they would come back for a game or two, only to be back on the shelf.

the medical staff sure has been cautious. they take forever to clear players.
maybe that is smart, I dunno. but it sure is frustrating

If it’s high ankle he could miss the rest of the season.
