Great human being and every team and player he coached was better for it.

Was it really him or donor money?

Coach is pretty much the only reason to watch any ACC Network production.

Mark Richt also donated $1 million of his own money to get an indoor practice facility built.
And to top it off, he walked away when he realized he couldn’t coach at the level he needed to and told the school to keep the money owed to him.
The world needs more Mark Richt’s.

All those years as a 90s kid being spoiled with Bobby Bowden and Mark Richt now look at what FSU fans have to be proud of

Malachi Toney looked 35 even then.

Yet never won the big one with all the talent in the world. Kind of plays to the nice guys finish last saying.

did you mean to type Monte Kiffin?

Roll your eyes all you want but it's true... Richt had Stafford, Knowshon Moreno, and AJ Green all on the same team and couldn't win the SEC much less the big one.
I know it stings for you as a Georgia fan...

there was nothing "last" about him. Won at a very high clip and took UGA to new heights. Not sure why you have a bee in your bonnet about the guy.

It's true he couldn't get over the hump but there are lots of great coaches over time that didn't. Would you rather have Mark Richt or Ed Orgeron?

with a shoddy defense and a patchwork OL. Having 3 good skill position players doens't win you a title. YOu conveniently leave out that alabama and florida were also kiiiiiiinda talented in their own right in 2008. I do also recall beating the shite out of LSU that year. Perhaps that's what's got you on this tangent...
